Vernon Gholston fails at something other than class
This is my first post, but I thought this information was too good to pass up. The title says it all, Vernon Gholston can't reach the easiest contract trigger ever.

Also, I did not know how to embed the link so I am unsure if this will work.
im suprised they didnt put in there "Play a game" as a escalator.
Gholston was screwed the moment he dominated the combine. People thought he could play every position along the front seven.
Ok, recovering a forced fumble, or causing one is a lot of luck, but geez, how many pass attempts did he face in 3 years and couldn't get one sack? I feel like the QB should trip and you fall on him by accident at some point by shear dumb luck. Pathetic.
that is what brett favre is for...just ask michael strahan
Sure he was overrated coming out of college, but he still was a dominant player against some elite talent - Jake Long had some battles with him over the years - and to not record a single sack in three years is insane, especially for a guy who start 5 games and appeared in 45 games. I don't care if he lined up as Free Safety, he should have been able to knock a ball out of a player's hands or hit the QB at least once. That's mind boogling!
This looks like a major PED issue to me. Gholston was a beast before he had to start taking drug tests for the league, I wouldn't be surprised if that played a role.
I don't doubt that for a minute - Rex Ryan intimated as much in an article in the NYT that he clearly looked like someone who had been/was still using PEDs. But still, to play 3 years in the NFL and not record a sack while playing in the front 7 for an aggresive, blitzing defense seems nigh-impossible to me. I could have totally understood if the guy was a mediocre talent who flamed out with meh stats, but to not record a sack or FF for a defensive linemen, even one pushed to a hybrid LB duty, just doesn't seem possible to me.

Fact is he didn't play all that much
thought that the Jets really reached for Gholston(he gave him a 3rd round grade) and didn't think that he'll make an impact as a pass rusher mainly because of his stiff hips which didn't allow him to bend around the corner to get to the QB and he's a tweener.
but i cant post new content if someone wants to start a new thread here is the promo for the fab 5 espn film
sorry if this is out of order, but didnt really know what else to do and wanted to share
If you keep that up, you'll be able to post in no time. Well, if the pos-bangs ever come back. Otherwise, just post your way to 100.
Thanks, though. I'm looking forward to that one. My only disappointment is that it will on ly be 30 minutes.
