Vance Bedford to Louisville

Submitted by JC3 on

According to Tom Dienhart, Vance Bedford will be heading to Louisville to become Charlie Strong's defensive coordinator.

I know there was basically no chance of him returning to Michigan, but Bedford is a solid DB coach (not a good DC yet though?) who can recruit. I don't know if him heading to Lousville will hurt our chances with Wilson or any future Florida recruits, but it will be interesting to watch.

I'm still convinced Michigan will end up hiring a young safeties coach or a defensive line coach after the bowl games are over.

Hire Corwin Brown as a recruiting coordinator if he's that good. Have Gerg coach the LBs and Brown can handle special teams. Like Bob Chmiel did in the early 90's for Gary Moeller.

We already have a very good recruiting coordinator. His name is Chris Singletary.

Corwin Brown is not going to any school to be a recruiting coordinator. That's a big step down in the ranks from Defensive Coordinator to recruiting coordinator.

Word on the street is that Greg Robinson actually took over safety coaching at the end of the season.

Tony Gibson is a cornerbacks coach, that's why I think they'll either - A. Move Bruce Tall to safeties (he coached them there in the past) or B. Hire a safeties coach as Greg takes LB's.
