Valenti approaching meltdown now on 97.1
http://player.play.it/player/player.html?v=4.7.124&id=2108&onestat=wxyt
The combination of Dantonio's decision to not pick between Cousins and Nichol as the starting QB and some callers telling him an idiot is making for some good radio.
I wish they would play the "Lefevour! Lefevour! Lefevour! Lefevour" clips and send him over the edge.

...and a big glass of Sparty Kool-aid left over from the summer.

His logic-free belligerance angers me, his meltdowns make me happy.

once they started talking about Italian food everything calmed down and there was no epic fail like I was hoping for.

Yeah, but he did claim that Italian food is objectively the best food on the planet.
Let's be honest -- the dude is a homer on all accounts.

When they played that lefevour thing i'm glad i wasn't drinking anything because it would have been all over my truck.

he admitted he "gets frustrated easily"
what a clown. FWIW I personally liked the "Touchdown CMU" drop they were playing a week or so ago.

LEFEVOUR LEFEVOUR LEFEVOUR LEFEVOUR LEFEVOUR

in that I probably follow sports a little too much. So I can see where he comes from with the "getting frustrated easily" because so do I. I mean, you can say all you want about patience with your team, but that's very difficult. I still don't know how I made it through last year with a last place Tigers team, a 3-9 Michigan, and an 0-16 Lions team. Now that I mention it, the Pistons sucked too. Thank God for the Wings last year.

YOU'RE ASKING DREW STANTON TO RUN THE OPTION IN HURRICANE KATRINA!
September 22nd, 2009 at 6:12 PM ^
The Cousins/Nichol thing is weird. Cousins is clearly a better passer, and while Nichol can run a little better, he's not that athletic - it's not like he's a Denard who is so freakishly talented that he has to see the field. I don't know what Dantonio is thinking rotating them.

Clearly he's thinking "If Michigan can play two quarterbacks, so can I!"
September 22nd, 2009 at 7:54 PM ^
Haha I was thinking the same thing today!

5 minutes spent at MGoBlog and your average reader is more informed than a month of listening to that fool.
A day ago I mistakenly caught a couple minutes including this gem: "Cousins is the best QB in the Big Ten".
Luckily changing the radio station is faster than driving headfirst into a telephone pole.

I would rather listen to Valenti/Foster than the Huge show or whatever grade B homer WTKA is rolling out there at that time slot(not a shot at Brian because radio really isn't his thing , I always try to listen to him when he's on). I do have to turn the dial at times due to the ass-hat-ed-ness of Valenti but he is worlds better that Simonson, IME.
Karsh and Anderson, FTW, really.

I like listening to sports radio at work, and unfortunately they are pretty much the only option... UNTIL....
Brian started posting that he is on WTKA every now and then. Wow a radio show all about Michigan football. Excuse me while I

I can never get WTKA to come in on my drives home in the morning. I do live in Grand Rapids...

on our local airwaves since Rob Parker.
Incoherent, in-your-face stupidity at it's worst.
