Valenti is actually worth listening to
He's currently ripping Izzo on 97.1 and saying that Beilein has passed him as a coach. I've got my popcorn ready.

oh and not to mention he was the only Detroit radio host to pick the Lions go 11-5 before the season. And the Tigers were pretty good.

good enough to not win the world series again with one of the highest payrolls in all of baseball. don't strive for mediocrity.

My favorite moment was his epic 2006 MSU/ND game analysis. That was epic and still makes me laugh.
My other favorite was in August of 2002 he was previewing Bobby Williams and MSU's 2002 football season and predicting they would be at worst 10-2 and probably 11-1 and playing in the Rose Bowl and Charles Rogers would be in New York as a Heisman finalist. We all know how that season turned out for Sparty, with Booby Williams getting fired after the Michigan game. I remember almost driving my car off I-96 when he said this, I thought this guy was sniffing crazy glue or something.

I want to listen to Valenti about as much as I want to read Drew Sharp.
Which is to say, I'd rather turn the radio off.

comment that actually agreed with last year. Basically asked why everyone else just has "Night Games" and UofM had "Under the Lights".... I fully agree that the over marketization of the night game needed to be put to bed after the inaugural against ND.

Valenti was dead to me back in about 2008. I moved to the Nashville area, and would stream them on my way home from work.
He was on a roll about Verlander and how he isn't an ace and would never be an ace...
Enraged, I turned it off and vowed to not listen again.
A few years later, I was back in the Metro area and had the turds on the radio and I heard him praising JV and what an ace he was.
I know its part of his schtick and all to incite anger, but he goes to extremes... Would've loved to hear him get called out for his anti-JV days (although I'm sure they'll be back very soon).
