Vada Murray Tailgate and Game Saturday at the Michigan Theater

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
The Vada Murray Fund for Cancer Research will host a tailgate and viewing party for the Michigan-Ohio State game Saturday at the Michigan Theater. Looks like it's free with obvious recommended donations. There's food, performances, and a raffle, ten you can watch the game on the BIG screen. Ok, is this worth a 3.5 hr drive? I hate Ohio that much. I would like to drive my family out of Ohio to enjoy something like this. Can someone comment? happy Thanksgiving.

I heard Vada's wife on wtka and she wanted to stress that although there will be side events the focus will be on the Game and they will have beer available. She didn't want people who wanted to tune in for the Game to be worried about distractions. Hope that helps. Happy Thanksgiving and most importantly Go Blue!

Is this a new event?  Never heard about it before.  I think it is a *fantastic* idea.

As such, I can't recommend because I've never heard about it before.  But I will say this, Michigan Theater is the single best theater in the country, in my opinion.  Old, classic, comfortable, high-quality and always doing community events like this.

If I lived back home, I would be there for sure.  Seeing that I'm in Korea, I don't feel like it is worth the $1.5K air ticket and 24 hour travel.  But 3 1/2 hours?  That is a long trip, but I bet it will be a great event.

Thanks for the info....this actually sounds pretty awesome! My normal tailgate and just about everyone I know is out off town, so this should beat watching the game alone. Anyone else thinking about going?
