very nice, I like it. For a really scary one, mabye carve a pumpkin with that purple face that Brian Kelly made, that would be awesome.

Seeing this thread is so funny. I was sitting in a video conference meeting this morning and I thought to myself, I want to carve a pumpkin with a big block M in it....
To my suprise, a thread about it...not to mention these are way better than what I can pull off. Still really cool though.

It is pretty easy really. Just find the image you want to carve into the pumpkin and trace it out on the pumpkin. I simply tape the image to the pumpkin and poke holes throw the paper into the pumpkin and cut out what needs to be removed. It helps if you scrape the inside of the pumpkin thin, so there is less that has to be cut through. I also leave all the cut out parts inplace until all of the cutting is finished and remove it all at one time. That way there is less sagging while trying to cut. The UTL pumpkin only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish.
The toughest part is thinking of new image each fall. You can see the three that I have done previously. Any other Michigan themed suggestions would be helpful.
