It was loud, particularly late in the game on the last 2 defensive stands. But damn, I saw Chesson's block but didn't notice until just now that he took out 3(!) Notre Dame players.

It was not as muted on TV as UTL I was, but it still did not capture the true loudness.

If you knew nothing about Michigan you would not have said to yourself "That stadium is really quiet for such a big game."  But it would not have sounded insane to you either.  It would have sounded like any other big game at night in a big conference.  Good enough, I suppose.

The visuals, however, they could not mute.  We looked sharp - stadium, fans, pom-poms, unis, playing style.  First Class.

My DVR stopped recording right before the Dileo TD, and because Comcast has the worst software ever, it caused me to miss seeing the TD, because it somehow cut from right before the snap to Dileo celebrating the TD.

Don't want to start a whole topic for this, but where do we think we'll be ranked? I'm assuming we jump Notre dame, Texas, and Florida. Does south Carolina fall behind us? Do we jump the Oklahoma schools despite them not losing? Would like to see us in top 10 when Big 10 play starts.

I was just going to mention that block...three at once, man that looked like a comedy movie about football and the three of them falling all over each other.  Great heads up play to come back and block for Gallon on that one.  UFR +3 I hope...

If you have BTN2Go, I believe the games are stored for up to two weeks and the ABC / ESPN games are indeed already available, so hopefully everyone has plenty of opportunities to enjoy and relive this victory for a while.

Re watching this really just reaffirms to me what a brilliant game Borges called last night. For all the crap he gets from the fan base he deserves some major props for last night.

a few things that seemed apparent last night, seem different today. Looking at those PI calls, they seem legitimate. Gallon was twice pushed with two hand shoves by his defender on the first sideline call. And Funchess was simply held by the jersey throughout his route and delivery on the second call.

I can see why the first might not be called. But the official had a good view of the two-hand shoves that Gallon got while the ball was in the air. And he didn't retaliate. So, even if those calls are questioned, and I thought they were debatable at first sight and replay review, but now I see why they were both flagged.

Secondly, Michigan didn't play Avery much at all. Countess played the nickel back spot with Avery subbing in at safety when he did play. Hollowel got a lot of PT with Stribling and Dymonte Thomas never seeing the field outside of special teams. Both freshmen were responsible for a first half late hit call on the Irish sideline with Stribling most responsible, though Thomas was actually called.

Mattison seemed content to keep the defense in four-man rush mode apparently respecting Rees' ability to audible out of bliz look coverages.

Clark's pressure forced Rees out of the pocket and into the throw that Countess picked off and gave Michigan a two TD lead at halftime. Michigan's interior Dline was double-teamed, and ND keyed off safety looks for audibles leading into run plays up the middle. Michigan played a lot of nickel in the second half and Mattison regularly rotated his Dline, although Morgan, Bolden and Ross were mainstays throughout the game with Cam Gordon playing infrequent snaps.

While Gallon was the offensive star of the game along with Gardner, Fitz Toussaint had his moments, and maybe the biggest play of the game, a key run in the fourth quarter that kept a drive alive on second and long that sparked a drive leading to Michigan's final TD. And the move he put on the Irish safety, left his grasping for air as he ran on by. Kirk Herbstreit cliamed Mathias Zarley should have made the tackle on Toussaint, but that's like saying the Lions should have stopped Adrian Peterson on his first run from scrimmage today for a 78-yard score.
