University of Texas-Escobares.
He robbed someone at Knife point..
That's a major felony event. Or as they call it at Florida State: Monday.
With the way things are shaping up, we should win that game by 10+.

MGoBloggers are a bunch of debbie downers. I'm sticking to daytime from now on.
/I may be a little hungover.
He put an ad on craigslist for an xbox then robbed the buyer at knifepoint. That guy's wife then called Dominique back trying to buy something else and the cops busted him.
So the moral of the story is that college athletes should be paid so their only option is to rob people with knives.
And the something else he was trying to sell were stolen iPhones.
Seriously though. Knife point robbery. That HAS to be 1 game.
It's a 2 Qtr punishment. USC set the precedent.
the article also mentions some shady behavior regarding cell phones. if these allegations are true, it's hard to imagine him avoiding jail time, no? at any rate, if they are true, he should be booted from the team.
however, the article also mentions that he is eager to clear his name and get back on the field. either this kid was erroneously charged or he is a straight up sociopath. here's to hoping the system works.
This is actually going to be a pretty big loss if he sits as I assume. Their coach is a no nonsense guy - I just cannot see at least a 1 game suspension.
They lost both their starting corners (rowe, orphey) and Hatfield seemed like the one heir apparent as best as I can tell from afar.
Utah beats you with special teams, and defense so losing Nate Orchard, both CBs, their DC, and then this guy to what seems to be a suspension should at least give UM's offense some openings to make hay. Whittingham is a good defensive coach in his own regard however and they develop well.
Dres Anderson was their main loss on offense but our D and their O will probably neutralize each other pretty well - strength against strength (run oriented offense v run stopping defense). Our O vs their D will be the interesting wildcard.
Was trying to figure out if this was a typo on UTEP or if there a University of Texas - Eastern Shore

There was a thread about this about four or five days ago, and indeed this was not the best laid plan - Hatfield was arrested following his own invented M.O., agreeing to meet at the same car wash where he had already robbed someone earlier in the day. It rather reminds me of stories like this...
Don't know if this will get cleared up in time for him to play, but the robber was allegedly 6'3 and Hatfield is 5'10. Cell number doesn't appear to be his, either. Surveillance video at the store should settle it.
Good news for Michigan is that this article says "Beyond [Hatfield], Utah's corners fall into the category of 'unproven.'"
Good news for Michigan. Not much chance he plays the 1st game.
We should be able to pass on these guys all day.
Jake Rudolph will be able to through the ball downfield 10 yards instead of 5.
Also, ...
