Utah Tailgating info (Guardsman lot) 6 am Start

Submitted by umbig11 on

I wanted to pass along some news regarding tailgating at the Guardsman Lot for game day. The lot will open at 6 am. If you are going to be in the area stop by and say hello. We will have the Michigan ambulance there around noon. Some of you may have seen it on AAGO. Anyway, the Utah fans we hosted last year at AAGO returned the favor to host us. So, it will be a mixed tailgate. About 16-20 Michigan fans and several Utah fans. Go Blue!

P.S. I will know later today if I have secured two extra tickets to the game. I am being offered family/team tickets behind the Michigan bench. I have to wait and see if the player makes the travel roster today. Therefore, I will sell two existing tickets to Michigan fans for face value. Contact me at [email protected] if interested.

That sounds much better than walking up hill from a bar, may have to join.

Starting my tailgate 10,000 feet in the air solo, in khakis, with about 5 travel bottles, since I'm flying in from work at around 4PM. Will definitely stop by after that! CANT WAIT!

I travel a lot and most people don't know that you can pack all the minitures you want in your carry on luggage as long as they are under the fluid ounce requirement.

somebody whose party days are long behind him.  To me, there is no worse feeling in the world than 2 hours after you are done drinking, but still awake.  For those of you who seriously tailgate beginning at 6 AM for basically a 9 PM start, do you drink?  All day?  Do you stop drinking when you go into the game?  Does that suck as much as I imagine it would suck?  Do you get a flask or a bottle in?  If not, do you not have raging dry mouth and a brutal dull pulsating headache by the end of the first?  How does that work, exactly.

If I start an activity drinking I have to end it drinking or I won't start to begin with.  Like, going to a concert is fun drinking the whole time or never starting to begin with, but not a mix of the two, right?

I completely agree. Football Saturdays were my only exception once upon a time and being out of school I don't do that any more either.

OTOH I also have no idea how people get hot and sweaty outside and long for a beer. If it's hot, I don't want anything but water. That's apparently weird, but I honestly think the opposite is what's weird.

I'll definitely stop by after I bike from work around 1. thanks for the invite. I'll be in my standard gameday attire of bright maize pants and blue polo. as for drinking all day, you don't have to be plastered the whole day. you can just manage your day and do the 1 beer/hour thing in the middle of the day. it is also Utah....
