ok so Ty had 4 carries for 12 yards lol so not that much better but still he hit the LoS with authority

Even Smith has to see that he missed some opportunities. And to this point he doesn't seem to have the best vision when it comes to finding things like wide open holes (not that there were many to pick from. Why does Braden get no push?)

Their "Heisman contending" RB had 14 rushes for 21 yards to start the game. Both teams have really good rushing defenses. But I also believe our RBs left some holes out there.
Line was getting creamed though. Can't wait for the UFR.

Rudock killed us tonight, but the WR and Butt looked way better than I expected. O-line didn't open many holes but I liked the fight. The offense won't be explosive but we should be in every game this year.

And he broke plenty after it. His guards were pulling into no one.
Smith is a hero, man.

I'm not even mad about this game. Under hoke we'd lose 27-0 in a hard road game not have a chance to send the game to OT with an onside kick. Beat Oregon State and UNLV and we'll get back on track. Rudock can't throw 3 interceptions again.

I agree-offense looked prettty solid as a whole except for RBs and QB. WR definitely outperformed expectation and Butt was great, Sucks to see the ineptness of 2/3 posititions damage the entire team.

Well that's what happens when you play a punter as a WR

The pick 6 was ALL Rudock. The NB sat on the route and protected the sticks. Rudock should have never even looked to his left because BOTH routes on the other side were WIDE OPEN!!! I mean how do you see a linebacker give 20 bajillion yards of cushion presnap and not attack the match up.
September 4th, 2015 at 9:20 AM ^
It was a bad, bad throw for sure, but Perry did him no favors on that play (or that other INT). His routes aren't very precise at all.

Thanks, Al and Brady, for leaving us without a quarterback.
So much thanks.
Honestly, everything looked decent enough to win this game except the appalling QB play.
Shane must be absolutely terrible to not get into this game.

I don't know. The first INT I can definitely put on Perry. Maybe one of the others, too. Maybe. But missing the receivers for TDs was excruciating. I mean, at some point, when bad things keep happening in the passing game no matter the receiver and with decent protection, you've got to think it's on the QB. We were going to settle for a game manager, and he did not manage the game.
Smith and the oline, yes, they could use improvement. But even with their mistakes, lack of vision, lack of holes (some of which had to have been caused by the lack of respect for the deep threat in the passing game) - the RB and oline play was still good enough to put us in position to win the game. You can't say the same of Rudock.

Pass-pro wasn't a huge concern tonight. Those INTs are all on Rudock (and Perry)
