Utah loses starting DB for 2014

Submitted by Wolverine15 on

RS Sophomore DB Reginald Porter, thought to be an important member of the Utah secondary, injured his knee in practice this week, and will be sidelined for the entire 2014 season at the very least. Obviously we all hope for a speedy recovery, but as Utah is on the schedule both this year and next, this concerns Michigan.

I'll be honest - each time I refresh the blog as fall camp rolls on, I do so with a small part of me hesitating to read thread titles in the even that it is something like this. That being said, it really doesn't matter which team, you feel bad for these guys everywhere who put the better part of each day into practice only to have their season end before it begins because you know all they want to do is get out there and compete.

Certainly fewer than that, but it's high. Mostly because most other injuries aren't season ending. Even a broken leg can heal in time to get back on the field if it's not terrible. That said, Darboh missed last season with a foot injury and you often hear of guys missing seasons because of shoulder problems or muscle tears. I bet ACLs are more than half though.
