not terrible considering it includes a charter flight...flying commercial first class can run you upwards of 2K. so for hotel, food, and game tix it's not too bad.

for taking away the few tickets Michigan received from fans that go to every away game and selling them to people that hardly go to any games in order to make some money.

Game ticket: $122 (probably better seats than the UM alotted seats)

Hotel: $107 (Marriott, 6 pillow bed!)

Flight: $351 (from LA)

Total: $580

That must be one hell of a Full American Buffet Breakfast and Fun-filled pre-game tailgate party!!

Go Blue.

yep, got real lucky. When I first looked a few months ago the cheapest ticket was around $230. I set a price alert at $180. About two weeks later I got an alert email at $122 and I bought it immediately. I don't think that pair was listed for more than 60 seconds.

The cheapest price in that section at the time was around $430, now at $500. So I contacted stubhub to find out what happens if/when the seller backs out of the deal knowing they left so much money on the table. I found out a few things:

1. That seller is a "powerseller" so this wasn't their first rodeo.

2. That seller listed the same pair months before at that price then took them down. I'm assuming when they relisted them they forgot to check the market value or was planning on changing the pricing before my ninja skills spoiled that plan.

3. Probably not new for regular stubhubbers, but if that person backs out stubhub will give me an equivalent or better pair and then charge that seller the difference.

I'm pretty excited. I'm taking my best friend that lives outside of New Orleans and has taken me to 4 or 5 LSU home games over the past few years, including the big#1 vs. #2  Bama/LSU game a few years ago at midfield.

I'm going out for the game, and the trip will cost me about $500 total including flight. When I tried to get a game ticket through the alumni association, they basically told me to fuck off. I honestly have no idea why I paid them $1500 for a lifetime membership.

I got lucky on Stubhub with somebody who underpriced their tickets, but I did the exact thing you did and had everything booked except tickets. I was worried like you are now. In fact, this reminds me of a few years back when we played UConn since their stadium only holds 40K. I ended up buying UConn Football season tickets to ensure I got in. I ended up breaking even - which was really lucky because UConn were so bad that year. I actually have my name on the list now for Utah Season tickets. I'm not paying their PSD, but I'm on the list for any season tickets that become available after all the deadlines for paying PSD pass.

Hi all,

The alcohol question always comes up when fans come to Utah for the first time. Technically possession of alcohol on any public university campus is illegal.  That being said, the cops don't enforce this law on gameday as long as those imbibing aren't over the line.  If you're walking around with a beer in hand they don't really care.  If you start with tequila shots at 6:00 am and aren't sure exactly how to stand up, they really care.  The one exception is if you're under 21. Minor in possession will get you at best a citation and at worst a quick booking in the county jail.

As far as parking goes, BigBlue02 is correct.  Don't even think about trying to park anywhere near the stadium.  In fact I usually advise people not to bother renting a car.  All of the lots are reserved parking on gameday and parking is severely restricted in the neighborhoods around the campus.  Private lots are available but they're a pretty good hike from the stadium.  Salt Lake City has a good transit system with the Trax light rail system serving the stadium and it is seriously the way to get around if you're a visitor. What really makes it nice is that on game day your ticket to the game is your ticket on any Utah Transit vehicle, bus, light or heavy rail.

Enjoy your visit to Utah and I for those planning on travelling to any of the parks, I would list Zion and Bryce as the two must-sees with Cedar Breaks National monument in between the two.  They're both easily accessable from the 15 freeway and are both pretty amazing.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions and enjoy your trip to Utah!
