Germany / England / Argentina / Mexico sounds like it should be the four in the Semifinals - that's a crazy bracket

Too bad England couldn't stop the Good 'Ol U.S. of A .or they'd avoid that blood bath of a bracket.

I like our chances of Ghana but if you have watched Uruguay or South Korea you have to assume they are in a good spot to make a run as well.  South Korea has the best counter attack of any team in the tournament, and Forlan IMO is almost as deadly as Messi on the ball.  Uruguay played great defense against France and solidly beat RSA and Mexico (a team that is also moving on).

Thinking though, South Korea can give up goals as easily as they can produce them

Ghana have yet to score from the run of play in the tournament.  Without Essien they are possibly the best draw we could have gotten for the Round of 16.  Throw in a little revenge for 2006 factor and I really think we have a shot to make a run.

You may be right.  I'm not sure I see it, but right now I'd say the US seems to have the easiest bracket.  As an example, the US would have either South Korea or Uruguay in the quarterfinals.  Uruguay is no pushover, so maybe they think they have the easiest road to the final four.  But as an example, you could see the Dutch against  Brazil in one quarterfinal (not to mention a potential Brazil/Spain game in the round of 16), and Germany/Argentina or England/Argentina in another (with England/Germany slugging it out with each other and then the winner having to potentially face Argentina, although I still expect Maradona to go on a coke fueled insanity binge at any moment.)
