USF hiring TJ Weist as WR coach
USF is hiring TJ Weist as their WR coach. Weist served as Senior Offensive Analyst for Michigan this year. The Harbaugh coaching tree sprouts another branch.

#USF is hiring TJ Weist as WR coach, per source. Weist worked at #Michigan & coached with Willie Taggart when they won a 1-AA title at #WKU.

the only one who didn't know this guy was on staff.....? I swear Harbaugh has an army of guys that work for him! I can't keep track of them all...

He was on the main Coaches page on the Football Team site.

I literally am the only person that didn't know this information. My bad, between recruiting news, triple thread posts, my wife and daughter, my job, I can only keep up on so much. The complete coaching staff just escaped me, I will get to memorizing that ASAP.

Congrats to Weist.
Was Senior Offensive Analyst an official spot on the Coaching Staff?

No. You can only have 10 coaches. However, he was an official member of the football staff, in the same way as Chris Partridge, Erik Campbell, Rick Finotti, etc.

He wasn't a coach, but he was on the official staff. They also have a few guys that were on the staff, but weren't publicized like Weist (not sure why they had a distinction) like Finotti, etc.

Yes, I understand that.

Did he just say what you just said?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he did.

Can't they hire Saban's Senior Offensive Analyst?
Bleh.

Yes, but that person would be second best.
Best Wishes TJ, unless it is against us.

TJ played WR for Alabama back in the Ray Perkins-Bill Curry era.

Makes sense Harbaugh was in Willie Taggert (USF's head coach) wedding (or vice versa). Either way...they're really close.
This has Harbaugh all over it.

He is apart of the Jim Harbaugh coaching tree himself as he served as Harbaugh's running back coach at Stanford before becoming the HC at his alma mater Western Kentucky. He played under Jack Harbaugh at WKU and if I'm not mistaken Jim was on staff at that time. Some of you may remember Michigan and USF hosting a camp together on USF's campus, that wasn't a random meet up.
