Useless ESPN Bowl Projections Week 13

In this week's useless ESPN bowl projections, here are the B1G bowl games predicted by ESPN's Edwards & Schlabach.

Italics= Not enough B1G teams bowl eligible to fill slots.

Bowl Schlabach Edwards
Rose Bowl presented by Vizio Nebraska vs Stanford Nebraska vs Stanford
Capital One Bowl Michigan vs Texas A&M Michigan vs Texas A&M
Outback Bowl Northwestern vs LSU Northwestern vs South Carolina
Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl Wisconsin vs South Carolina Wisconsin vs Vanderbilt
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl State vs TCU State vs TCU
Meineke Car Care Bowl of TX Purdue vs Baylor Purdue vs Texas Tech
Heart of Dallas Bowl Minnesota vs Iowa St. Minnesota vs Iowa St.
Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl No. Illinois vs Mid. Tenn St. No. Illinois vs San Jose St.

Other matchups of note-

Bowl Schlabach Edwards
BCS National Championship Georgia vs Notre Dame Alabama vs Notre Dame
AT&T Cotton Bowl Texas vs Alabama Texas vs LSU
Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Air Force vs UCF Air Force vs SMU

Thoughts?

When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....

The B1G might be even more of a punchline nationally after this bowl season, as if that is possible.  Also do not like playing Johnny Football, and a team that beat Alabama.

For some reason I feel like the Capital One Bowl pics an SEC east team if two SEC schools make BCS and Cotton Bowl take the next SEC west school in line. I may be wrong though. Maybe they get free will for any SEC school if two make it to BCS. I'd rather play A&M than Georgia, Bama or Florida though.

My projections are based on the Capital One (Georgia) and Outback (South Carolina) bowls' historical tendencies to lean toward East Division teams. The Cotton has first choice after the Capital One and will almost certainly lock up West team Texas A&M -- unless the Orlando game gets Johnny Football Fever. In my scenario LSU slips to the Chick-fil-A Bowl, but the Tigers could well go to the Cotton or Outback. There's also the possibility that South Carolina could slip to the Gator Bowl, since the Chick-fil-A is obligated to take Clemson from the ACC.

Why? Because it will only make ohio's record/schedule look weaker, and will hurt them in any ranking systems that take strength of schedule into consideration. I really do not want any ranking service listing them as #1.

Get your Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl tickets immediately.  With Northern Illinois against Middle Tennessee State or San Jose State, that thing will sell out in a heartbeat.

I know the OSU bowl ban is great and all, but I kind of wonder if maybe they should be sent to the Pizza Bowl instead.

Anyone who thinks we could beat either Florida or LSU hasn't watched either of those teams play.  What makes you think we could beat LSU, a team that nearly took down Bama, i.e, the team that prison-raped us earlier this year?  And did you see the manhandling FSU's o-line experienced yesterday?  I'm pretty certain Sherriff Floyd would buy a Bentley before the bowl game based on the additional signing bonus bounce he'd get after facing our o-line.

Can you seriously find no better description for a blowout football game than prison rape?  This is the second mention to it you have made in this thread, and neither were funny, creative, nor terribly descriptive of what actually happened on the football field.

I think we would have our hands extremely full against either Florida or LSU. Our D would keep it close but I don't see us moving the ball much/at all against the top tier teams (see Bama, ND).
