Nope

No way to eliminate a double post. Your idiocy will be documented for the rest of your MGoLife. You might as well go hide under a rock somewhere to hide from the shame that people will shower on you from now on.

*this comment comes from someone who double posted no less than an hour ago*

How is this legal in college recruiting?

I can't believe that the NCAA allows this to happen. I wonder if he sent any of the song girls to help recruit this kid. I can see his thought bubble as one of them kisses him on the cheek... "OMGBEWBZ!!1 WERE DO I SIGN?"

It's actually

quite common for basketball. NCAA didn't do anything about it so why should they start for football. If they're going to do it, they have to do it for basketball as well.

Examples from football

players like Hermann Johnson was offered almost the moment that he was born(he was the biggest baby born at 15 lbs.) when LSU coaches came by to offer him a schollie or Chris Leak committing to Wake Forest when he was in 7th/8th grade.

And that clip

reminds me of "Showgirls." I was a student when that came out and went to see it opening weekend. The theater was actually sold out so I wasn't the only one duped into seeing a God awful movie just for the chance to see Jessie Spano sans clothing.

So are offers like this revocable? Like, suppose the kid never gets a growth spurt or ends up being simply not a good player: can USC revoke the offer without any consequences?

Damn It!

When is the NCAA going to install early signing period? What if this kid ends up being so good that Zombie Urban Meyer comes back from the grave in four years and gets him to switch to the Gators. If he could sign a pre-pubescent LOI, USC could keep the snake oil away.

20 yards is not impressive

My 7th grade twins play youth football and we played a team from Grand Blanc this year (age limit of 13). They ran the spread and the QB could throw the ball 40 yards plus and had good wheels. Maybe we need to get a recruiter to check him out since we already have an offer out to another GB kid, Justice Hayes.

AD at USC

If I was the AD at USC, I would sit Lane down and politely remind him that we don't need him adding anything else to our media shit storm.

Kiffin isn't an idiot. He just doesn't have the same set of ethics I do. He knows how important it is to be the first school to offer a recruit, the first one to "notice." For the next while now, that boy is going to think of himself as a USC quarterback, and when and if it comes down to choosing between USC and another school in four or five years, I'll bet USC has the edge.

I wouldn't offer him, though. It's important for this kid's education off the football field that he thinks for another couple of years that he actually has to work academically to get into college.

Congratulations Lane, you're a real winner. He's doing his absolute best to make college football recruiting as slimy as basketball recruiting.

This is really bad.

How the hell did RR miss this one? We're doomed!

People appreciate it when an

People appreciate it when an older guy loves kids. The problems come when they get specific.

"I love kids!" Awesome.
"I love 13 year olds." Creepy.

(Credit to Demetri Martin... I think.)

Kid must know something we don't

...maybe Kiffen told him that USC would be off probation by 2015. Hell of a recruiting tool.
