I BELIEVE!

As the starters has been announced I thought it time to start the thread.

                Altidore---------Dempsey

Jones-------Beckerman------Bradley------Bedoya

Beasley-----Cameron-----Besler-----Johnson

                             Howard

(No they don't use a true 4-4-2 but it isn't a true 4-3-3 either...but these are your starters)

Edit-Being listed as a diamond w Bradley attacking & Beckerman defensive/holding

Also notable exclusions for Ghana starters are Boateng and Essian

Go USA!!!!

Of course it's more like an ameba as it's ever shifting.

Same 11 on the field is the point. I'm going to be watching Bedoya closely because I liked Zusi in that spot.

Hey friends - joining the thread via dongle-internet from South Africa at 11:20 PM because 1) I have to watch this and 2) I can't possibly watch alone.

Landon Donovan must've liked my post because he gets on national TV and talks about "the moment" and he picks his hands up, looks down at his cack and says "I'm excited, the blood is flowing."

That was pretty funny. In a 16 years old kind of way.

Great moments are born from great opportunity.

That's what you have here, tonight, boys.

That's what you've earned here tonight. One game.

If we played them ten times, they might win nine, but not this game. Not tonight.
Tonight, we run. Tonight, we stay with them, and we shut them down, because we can! Tonight, WE are the greatest soccer team in the world. You were born to be soccer players, every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done, it's over. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how many times Ghana has eliminated us in the World Cup. Screw 'em. This is your time.

Now go out there and take it.

Would have loved to see Landon for 25 minutes this game when the Black Stars are tired in that heat and humidity... his pace would be very welcome.  Still don't get him not making it as a reserve.

Dunno man - he looked pretty good last summer and I'd think with 3 more weeks after they cut him he'd be fine.  Not asking him to play 90 minutes a game.  Just 25.

Also who the hell would have thought Beasley would make it on the team longer than Donovan 10 years ago.
