rundown of Michigan's riser
US Army All-American Bowl Thread
Caught the end of first half and ND's back was getting the carries. Anyone have numbers for Green?
Can we haz Derrick Green?
When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....
he picked Miami, doesn't effect us, haha ND
Also, was that his dad with the Lions cap?
Also, also...ohio getting whooped by Illini in BBall
This halftime has made me very worrisome. Can anyone PLEASE reassure me that David Robinson's son is going to ND?!
Helmet to helmet...pretty dirty hit there....made no attempt to wrap up.
Strength equipment is expensive and guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free and can give you everything you want.
I wish Green was at least getting half the touches Bryant is.
I'm no coach but I don't see all the hype about Jaylon Smith. I've seen him miss on like 7 tackles so far.

Dude is huge and legit runs like a 4.5 or something. He's apparently a monster in 7-on-7 and can lock down WRs even though he's an LB. That said, he could be suffering from the "Oh crap, now I'm playing against people who can actually play" type of thing that most kids who dominate lesser competition suffer from.
Wow! That D Green is good. Oh how I salivate about a potential commitment.
Oh shocking, the NBC guys are talking about the speed on D for ND. I really should just mute this game...but it's more fun to complain!
Unfortunately I think Jaylon Smith is the best player in this game.
by the QB's in this senior class so far, I know it's tough in these games but I've seen QB's in the past look way better than this crop.
Yeah, there aren't a lot of quality quarterbacks in this class. I've been saying that since I watched the "elite" quarterbacks at The Opening. Browne is going to be good, Morris will get there eventually, and I like Brice Ramsey. I'm sure there will be some other guys to emerge in college, but it's a weak class.
Likewise with receivers. When the QBs actually do make good throws the WRs are dropping them. I bet there's been 10 drops between the Army & UA games.
FWIW, I was really impressed by Hackenberg yesterday. Great touch and accuracy.
Huh? Hackenberg looked bad as always.
OK. Agree to disagree. The Scout guys that were there seemed impressed by him as well... again, FWIW.
He was 4/16 for 34 yards, 0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and 2 sacks. I don't see how anyone could be impressed by that.
I don't think any of the quarterbacks in that game were impressive, but I'd take a few of the participants in that game over Hackenberg.
True, but he had a LOT of drops (I know... standard excuse for why one's favored QB doesn't have good stats). Most of the QBs were no where close to their intended receivers.

Love when these guys don't pick Ohio.

It was already expected that he wasn't going to go to OSU from inside reports. No shock here but Mitchell is expected to commit later today.
Hello Charles Woodson, now give me the ball on offense. - Brent Musburger
Can't blame him. If UL isn't on the upswing, OSU's chances are great, but I wouldn't turn down my hometown team either in this scenario.
how much inside you need to get, but last time I took a look at 11w they were at least 50-50.
That one hurt.
Yeah, I think they originally had him at that between OSU and Lou but one of the writers said it was a no go a few days earlier. I think in the end he wanted to be at home and the win over Florida might have done that too. Moreover, with Teddy Bridgewater being able to throw a ball (we're not sure about Miller as a passer yet), Quick will be able to make some really good plays. Good pick up for the Cardinals!

11 Warriors is not the best place to look if you want an unbiased opinion.
There are still people here who think that Josh Garnett is going to pick Michigan.
People more inside than 11 Warriors expected Quick to pick Louisville.
Can we count this as a victory?
That one hurt.
Quick to Louisville
Practice makes perfect. Unless you're the Buckeyes. Then you have to cheat.
The only thing that will make me happy here is if MM commits somewhere other than OSU
3-3-5 til the day I die y'all
How is that a PI? He had better position than the WR.

After taking a quick look at the link Magnus put up from previous UM commits at this game from the past 5 years, I'm wondering what's all the fuss about?

How many of those guys have actually gone on to be what we would consider quality players ala all-conference types? It's too early to judge last year's group. Countess looks like he's got the potential. Wile, Hagerup, BWC, Gallon, and Gibbons have been solid contribtors, but nothing to get too excited about. Should we really be excited about any of these guys and expect them to be all-conference types? Not to say we shouldn't, but just a question if this is all hype or if it's a good indicator of who will be good in college.

Maybe it's just an unfortunate coincidence, but I feel like Michigan has had an uncharacteristic lack of success with its recent Army Bowl participants. The players who played for Rich Rodriguez generally didn't do well. Before that things were pretty good, and the jury's still out on the Hoke recruits who participated.

And a quint a day at Blimpy would work too....although I hope he'll be able to get a Blimpy!
