December 18th, 2012 at 8:01 PM ^
BIIIIGGGG TEEEEHHN
December 18th, 2012 at 8:02 PM ^
BUT what are your thoughts on the unifromzzz?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:04 PM ^
I say we just go skins.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:07 PM ^
Skins vs Shirts, use laces or spaces to decide kickoffs
December 18th, 2012 at 8:56 PM ^
if it was the volleyball team
December 18th, 2012 at 8:05 PM ^
I'm in favor of going back to shirts vs skins. I'd like to see some OMG shirtless dunks.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:07 PM ^
JINX GOD DAMMIT
sorry for yelling, just upset about the uniformz
December 18th, 2012 at 8:08 PM ^
State looks terrible right now.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:42 PM ^
Must be the color scheme on those unis.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
Being up by 5 at the half is an upset watch? They will probably win by 20 and make this thread look a little silly. Both teams actually.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
tied with less than 10 min left now.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:40 PM ^
Either way, I thought people would like to tune in to see how our future opponents look against teams with far less talent than UM. Ohio was favored by 27.5 and they were up 1 at half. I thought it was worth tuning in and thought others would agree. My bad homie.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:12 PM ^
oh wait, you meant in basketball?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
in non-conference play? The worse the B1G looks, the worse Michigan looks. I've never understood that.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
Because MSU's pain is just oh-so delicious
December 18th, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
Only msu's? Both of their pain is scrumptious
December 18th, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
True, true. I just happened to actually be watching MSUs when I wrote that.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:31 PM ^
Of COURSE you can understand how we would want our rivals to lose. What I've never understood are posts like this. . .
December 18th, 2012 at 8:35 PM ^
That's why I raised the question. On one hand you want the conference to be strong ... on the other you find yourself rooting for teams you despise (in a weird, backward way of thinking).
December 18th, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
They'll both probably end up winning. But I've seen Dawson get rejected 3 times tonight and I haven't been watching long.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
I almost always "root" for our future opponents as I want them to have the strongest possible resume when we blow them out. It is a nice problem that we are so highly ranked now, one hardly has to think about it. We take care of business, business takes care of us. (Or something like that...)
December 18th, 2012 at 8:21 PM ^
This ESPNU broadcast of Sparty is refreshing in that they don't yet feel the need to obsessively show Izzo and his courtside overacting
December 18th, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
BGSU gym is pretty nice.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
Wow. MSUs offense looks horrible. No outside shooting and so many turnovers. I cant remember the last time they've had such poor talent.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:30 PM ^
really? they have plenty of talent. they do lack, however, a true point guard and 3 pt shooters (excl harris).
i do think izzo has done a terrible job this year at adapting to those deficiencies. he's got plenty of talent in the paint and doesn't get them signficant opportunities.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:34 PM ^
their big men are pretty wooden. They are not a real effective team at this stage.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:47 PM ^
They don't seem to have the hustle and/or fire of McGary and Morgan but i will say that they have better post moves. I'm hoping by season's end to see a lot shimmies, cuts, hooks, and fakes out of those guys.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:27 PM ^
Is back in town.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:28 PM ^
This is why I laugh at people who are like ahhh Michigan lacks a killer instinct and only wins by 20... would you rather have our games still be within a couple possessions with less than 10 minutes in the game.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:30 PM ^
To have to watch. I don't see them as a top 50 team.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:34 PM ^
that said, my family is from EL, and i warned them that they were overrated early on due to their lack of shooters. it's proven to be so far.
similarly, i expect the illini to come back down to earth once their weak interior play gets exposed by several of the bigger big 10 teams.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:31 PM ^
Anyone else miss Tim McCormick calling all the old Michigan bball games on ESPN +
December 18th, 2012 at 8:37 PM ^
As I write this, Purdue is tied with Ball State at 47 with 8:00 to go. Of course them losing to a MAC school isn't really an upset these days...
December 18th, 2012 at 8:43 PM ^
is purdue the fifth best team then in IN?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:37 PM ^
BGSU's student section is atrocious.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:42 PM ^
is it not christmas break?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:45 PM ^
I don't know?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:49 PM ^
To answer your question: No, i don't think you do....and i don't either.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:41 PM ^
How is Maxwell doing... is Miller hurt or something. /s
Ugggh...I miss football season.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:50 PM ^
So after this thread instilled in me the hopes of some sweet, sweet buckeyefruede, I turned on tthe TV to see Ohio up by 15 with 3 minutes to go.
Thanks.
December 18th, 2012 at 8:53 PM ^
I'd rather see our conference not suck at a aport
December 18th, 2012 at 8:56 PM ^
Anybody else see Keith Appling drive the lane with 4.2 seconds left to score a floater with game In hand?
December 18th, 2012 at 8:57 PM ^
Kenpom likey!
December 18th, 2012 at 8:57 PM ^
So both teams were leading at the half and then both ended up winning by double digits...um...nice thread.
December 18th, 2012 at 9:07 PM ^
I posted at half. I thought people might want to watch. My bad brah ... can't control the 2nd half.
December 18th, 2012 at 9:11 PM ^
I don't think you understand how the internet works. You posted early, and the teams ended up not being upset. You obviously can control it. It's science.
December 18th, 2012 at 9:20 PM ^
My point exactly. It's not much of an upset alert at halftime if both teams are leading with that much time left even if it is by a single point. I'm not upset I'm glad the big ten wins out of conference just thought you jumped the gun on this one.
December 18th, 2012 at 10:09 PM ^
Same could have been said at halftime of the Butler/IU game ... and Butler pulled it out. I just assumed ppl would be interested in a 1 pt game at half that had a spread set at 27. Puts UM's "close" games into perspective. Others have similar or greater problems with inferior competition.
December 19th, 2012 at 8:26 AM ^
I don't mind it. Both are serious opponents and conference title contenders. Not like too much else is going on.
December 18th, 2012 at 9:16 PM ^
You must've conveniently missed from halftime until the end of the game where Winthrop and BGSU both put up a great fight.
