I still remember being excited about his HS highlight tapes. I know it was Utah, but he was a big kid making guys miss, running guys over, and outrunning guys.

I thought he might even get a run at RB, ala some of the big backs of the big ten. I was happy to see him get some carries and show off what he could do. Not just a wasted redshirt, but a wasted talent in his previous 3 years.

Never mind just get him the ball. Read the article and sounds like he's going to be a receiving threat! Also I'm pumped about Cole's weight going up and Newsome at 6-7 300! The o-line on paper has the experience and size. If Newsome is pushing Cole than we might have something special this year. Stay healthy boys.

coming off an injury, I was thinking it was bad weight until I read the article and saw a picture of him.  He does not look like a guy pushing 300. Man, what a possible threat at TE with possible pass blocking and pass catching.  i'd hate to be the DB that has to cover or take him down.

Granted I didnt research this statement like WD would but it feels like interesting, easy analysis that I first saw on mgoblog is being replicated by mainstream media

6 (like Dad, but taken by Kareem Walker. Maybe)
18 (Peters likely to redshirt)
23 (2^3, Kingston Davis likely to redshirt)
26 (2+6)
28
38 (over walkon LS Brandon Deeg)
42 (4*2)
44 (4+4)
48 (is retired)
80 (Taken by Khalid Hill)
88 (Taken by Jake Butt)
98 (is retired)

Hmmn...I'd wager 6, 18 or 28

both play defense, then perhaps Ahmir Mitchell to safety is not a foregone conclusion.

Which would be great by me.  I enjoyed Ahmir's WR tape, and would love to see what he can do as a WR.

ALL WEIGHT GAIN IS GOOD.

ALL WEIGHT LOSS IS GOOD.

TY WHEATLEY WILL BE A 338 LB TE in 2 YEARS AND YOU WILL CALL HARBAUGH GENIUS.*

*Wheatley doesn't even look "beefy" in that photo - sheesh he can wear 290 lbs well.

Unfortunately, Winovich is tracking that career path like a Ross Taylor Douglas where they keep moving him over the field on offense and defense trying to find a spot anywhere he can be useful.

Considering the urgent needs at LB I suppose that leaves us with Furbush and Wangler as 2 of the remaining 4 LBs in that class who have a chance to actually play it.
