Most of the updated brackets have us in just ahead of the last 4 at-larges and very few have us out. Barring major conf. tourney runs by other bubble teams, we could likely withstand losing to the Illini and still be in.

That said, BEAT THE ILLINI.

I have to strongly disagree with VCU getting an at-large bid, despite beating George Mason in the CAA semis.  I don't think they'll beat ODU in the final, and I feel their resume for an at-large is really weak, especially considering how they limped to the finish line in the CAA.

There are actually 6 at-large 12 seeds, 4 of which play play-in games. That leaves 4 to advance to the big dance. While I agree that a 12th seed provides an easier root to the sweet 16 then say a 10th or 11th seed. The 66% odds of having to win an extra game is something I'd rather avoid. Beat Illinois and earn that 10th/11th seed!

Being and Bearcat and Wolverine, this would be a interesting matchup. UC was the #1 BE defensive team this season...at one point against Georgetown on Sat. UC had a front court lineup of 7-0, 6-11, 6-8...Morgan would be in for a battle.

I watched just about every Cincinnati and Michigan BB game this season...if Michigan drew this matchup...a slower paced game will frustrate the Bearcats...keep the score in the 50-60 range. Cincinnati is 24-0 when they score somewhere in the mid 60s or more this season because of their defense (they lead the BE in tournovers)...UM would not want to run with Cincinnati because they have a very deep bench with 11 contributors.

As a fan of both school's I would love to see them play...different styles usually make for a fun game.
