Via @michiganinsider (WTKA), the back of the north scoreboard looks finished. And looks good, no split 'M'.
landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
We're looking for a block M, not a block Sigma.
No, no. That’s on purpose. It’s symbolic of the fact that the big house is the summation of years of history and tradition.
Who took those bites out of our perfectly good scoreboard? Must be some hungry Wolverines prowling the stadium grounds.
Did Cookie Monster take a bite out of the corners?
If you look toward the Stadium a giant M just rises into the sky. It's tremendous. Tremendous. Saw it today.
and not State Street
It really seems to pop out off that scoreboard. Looks even better than I imagined it would. Looks really crips, and I can't wait to see it for the WMU game and then again next week under the lights.
Even the rcmb is jealous. They had a thread a while back about why can't we get sweet scoreboards like Michigan.
The RCMB suffers from an acute form of LBS - otherwise known as Little Brother Syndrome.
Symptoms of LBS include being jealous of, and obsessed with, anything related to The University of Michigan.
much better than the split M
I was driving south on Main today and at the light at Packard we could see the back of the scoreboard with the block M. It looked amazing. A gigantic Block M on the horizon...couldn't see any of the stadium from there, but the Block M filled my vision. Beautiful. Sorry, no pix (I was driving).
Is that a record for the largest Block M in the world? (that represents Michigan?)
to assemble in honor of the Hokester!
I still want to live inside of the scoreboard.
I miss me some split M. :-(
It's simply a matter of taste, but I think the split M will never be topped. At least I still have mine in my man cave.
That block M >>>>>> split M. Split M just makes me think of the not-quite-as-good merchandise you might find at Meijer :-D
