Bluestreak hasn't been maintaining the 2014 offer list so I've updated it. Hope I'm not stepping on toes but we need an updated list considering there are only 4-5 spots left for 2013. I used Rivals offer list along with TTB and the old 2014 list to compile this chart, making some judgement calls along the way. In some cases, I moved players to the positions they were offered at by Michigan's staff. (with the exception of Bo Scarbrough who was offered as a WR.) Michigan has verbally offered 57 players. The distribution is as follows:

QB: 0

RB: 5

WR: 7

TE: 2

OL: 17

DE: 4

DT: 3

LB: 4

CB: 8

S: 4

ATH: 3

The current offers don't reflect the solid in-state 2014 class so I decided to add a list of Michigan HS players that may receive offers down the line. The list is in no particular order, although some of these players are almost guaranteed to receive offers soon. Feel free to suggest players for this list in the comments.

DT Kenneth Finley 6'3" 265 lbs. Muskegon HS

CB Jalen Watts-Jackson 6' 173 lbs. Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep

LB William White 6'1" 215 lbs. Detroit Cass Tech HS

RB/LB Gary Hosey 6' 230 lbs. Detroit Cass Tech HS

QB Tyler Wiegers 6'4" 190 lbs. Detroit Country Day

DT Jake Khoury 6'3 268 lbs. St. Francis Catholic HS

RB Lorenzo Collins 6' 210 lbs. FH Harrison HS (MSU lean)

WR Brandon Walker 6'2" 185 lbs. Carman-Ainsworth HS

OT Ka'John Armstrong 6'5" 272 lbs. Detroit Loyola HS

OG Derek Brown 6'4" 295 lbs. Yale HS

OT Curtis Doyle 6'6" 270 lbs. Alma HS

ATH Avonte Maddox Detroit King HS

S Jared Wangler De La Salle Collegiate HS Warren, MI

Thanks

Was waiting to hear something like that before I moved him... otherwise I usually just use Rivals designation. Had to cut out Rivals rankings to fit the chart in the post but only 5 or 6 players are rated so far anyway.

Really good information. Are

Really good information. Are any of the uncommitted recruits considered heavy Michigan leans? Damon Webb is the only one I've heard that might fall into that category.

I think the coaches are

I think the coaches are waiting to see junior film before they delve into that, this is how we "missed" on Chance Stewart as he wanted to commit his junior year even though he may have recieved an offer down the road.

They are waiting until after

They are waiting until after the kids' junior years, but that's likely because nobody has wowed them yet.  They certainly didn't have a problem with offering Shane Morris early.  Unfortunately, none of the guys interested in Michigan (Caleb Henderson, Chance Stewart, DeShone Kizer, etc.) are shoo-ins for offers.

Shame that Hayes committed to

Shame that Hayes committed to ND.  Being from NYC I always want the local offerees to go to Michigan.  They seem to always choose ND though.

I'm not sure if Marshon Lattimore is a WR.  I've seen him listed as an Ath or CB.

Do you think he is going to be the top player in Ohio for 2014?

That's tough to say.  You've got Dante Booker, Thaddeus Snodgrass, Jimmy Byrne, Michael Ferns...  I think Booker is probably the top Ohio recruit for 2014, but Lattimore's up there.

Damn, I had high hopes for Jay Hayes playing D for us. ND is recuiting some good defensive players.

Anybody worried?

I know we had a great recruiting class in 2012 and are looking great in 2013.  And certainly our O-line recruits show every indication that we can hold up, especially in the running game.  But is anyone worried about how good OSU's pass defense is going to be?  I just took a quick look at how many guys in the top 300 they have for 2013, and know they got some great D-lineman in 2012.  If you look at guys like Spence & Washington as pass rushers and then guys like Woodard & Burrows who are both big and fast shut down type corners.  A good pash rush and good corners is a pretty good recipe for a great pass defense.

Yes, I expect OSU to have

Yes, I expect OSU to have very good pass D in the next few years. However, they haven't had near as much talent at DT or LB, and our OL recruiting has been incredible. So their run D will be less stout, and their great pass D won't be as effective when they're thinking run first all the time.

Remember, too, that we're bringing in an elite QB who should have a lot of time in the pocket. Will OSU be good? Absolutely. But they should be just as worried about us as we are about them.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Marshall got an offer at some point.  They'll probably hold out for a bit to see what DeShawn Hand does.

Our DTs are pretty

Our DTs are pretty big.

Pipkins, Campbell, Washington and Henry are all over 300.  The smallest DT is Black and he just converted from DE and he is 280 right now.  I'm not including Brink, Ash or Wilkins because they don't really get much playing time anyways.

How big do you want our DTs to be?

Not to mention Maurice Hurst

Not to mention Maurice Hurst who is both a big dude and really athletic, and Henry Poggi who isn't enormous but who will likely be a 285+lb 3-tech before all is said and done.

How much interests does he have in us? Is it his brother that is in our 2012 class?

I don't know about top 20,

I don't know about top 20, but Michigan is still in a good position with him.  My feeling is that Michigan holds a tenuous lead, but we've seen how that often goes...

Ithaca H.S. out of Michigan.

It looks like it is trending that the Weigers/Smith mold has a better chance of getting offfered before the Henderson/Stewart types.
