Pretty funny. My dad sent me a photo of this same plane last week when it was down in southern GA. I even jokingly tweeted at Brian asking if we could start plane tracking yet.

(I also uploaded the photo that's on FlightAware in case you're thinking I just took the photo from there.)

So an AD that Ross has given the go ahead to get fired is on a jet talking to a coach mid season in MS.

Yes, that is both logical and realistic.

For starters, if someone from UM was visiting Stark Vegas to talk to Mullen, they would never be stupid enough to fly a plane with the block M to Starkville.  And Mullen would never allow it.

Also, I seem to remember hearing that during the last coaching search (maybe this was in one of Bacon's books?) that Brandon was sending the UM plane to throw people off while he went around on some other plane to interview underqualifed candidates (last part is my editorial addition).

Is someone from UM meeting with someone from Mullen's possy nearby to Starkville?  Can't rule that out at all.

that's a citation 680, it needs about 3000-4000 feet of runway depending on conditions. Golden Triangle has an 8,000 ft runway less than 10 miles from Starkville. So flying in to Jackson would only be classified as arbitrary slight of hand as opposed to necessity. BTW, flight aware has it in Jackson, TN, which is further than probably 10 strips that could easily handle that plane. (Edit, others already found details in included originally)

That jet could handle flying into Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS, the nearest 'port to Starkvul. (phonetic spelling)

When I went to Starkvul (working nearby) I flew into Memphis.

Our new AD may be scouting a new football coach next Saturday.

Oh, and to you who say Mr. Rogel's plane wouldn't be involved, don't be so fast to jump to conclusions:

"Currently, Mr. Rogel invests independently and has been the angel investor for Coolsavings.com, Geneworks, Inergi LLC, and several other companies. He is Past President of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Co-Chair of Michigan's capital campaign, and on University President Coleman's Advisory Board. His other Michigan commitments include the Undergraduate Council, the Recruiting and Scholarship Committee, the Music School's Development Advisory Board, the Business School's Development Advisory Board, the School of Social Work's Development Advisory Board, and the Health System Advisory Board. Mr. Rogel is also the chairman of the Michigan Difference. He resides in Colorado where he helped found The Youth Foundation, serving on the Executive Committee and chairing the Education Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Progressive Policy Institute.

Mr. Rogel graduated as valedictorian from the University of Michigan Business School."

If it was my call, I would be flying the plane to places like Columbus and Tuscaloosa, just to troll their fanbases and provide some real entertainment to the media.  They could fly it to Baton Rouge, but most of the fans there would be begging for the plane to take Miles to Ann Arbor right now.
