UofM Club of Detroit Beer Tasting on Aug 14- Drink Beer to Help Michigan!

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on

Two people asked me to repost so sorry to those who this annoys.

The UofM Club of Detroit and Kinesiology Alumni Society are holding a beer tasting fundraiser to aid two undergrad scholarships at Michigan. Its at Jolly Pumpking Cafe & Brewery on Main Street on Saturday August 14th at 8pm. NO WALK UP TICKETS!! You have to order by next week. You can either call 734-647-2689 with credit card info or leave a message with the event coordinator (her name is Ayana) and she'll call back. Or you can print out this form and fax or mail it in http://www.kines.umich.edu/alumni/beer_tasting.pdf

A large portion of the $50 ticket price is tax deductible as a donation to the University (who needs more points towards their athletic department points status!) and there will be a silent auction featuring six items including a Jake Long autographed Michigan football AND four "lower bowl, middle ice" seats plus parking to the sold out Big Chill at the Big House hockey game in December.

Hope to see some of you all out there.

Damn it!

We love the Jolly Pumpkin and what a great cause, but I'm in the midst of finalizing travel plans for that weekend and I'm pretty sure we'll be out of town.

Then again, iif hotel rooms in Chicago don't come down price-wise, maybe we'll be around after all.  Thanks for posting.
