University of Michigan Paintball COMING TO CHICAGO
UMICH PAINTBALL HEADING TO CHICAGO
I figured I would let everyone know that the University of Michigan Paintball team will be playing in NPPL Chicago open from May 20-22nd occuring at CPX Sports in Joliet Illinois. We will be in Chicago on Thursday midday and play begins Friday. Here is a link to the event website and here is a link to the Friday schedule of our games. Friday at lunch when your thinking why am I still at work? stop thinking, leave and come to CPX to watch us play! Also we finally got all our photos from the NPPL event we went to in California so I will hopefully be posting a writeup about that soonish...
gratitous photo of us smiling
Next time, ask the NPPL to hold the event at the United Center so I can watch.
+1 on this ^^^
Joliet is not really near Chicago.
it is ON!!!!
...last episode of "The Office" that featured Steve Carrell was hilarious.
Have wings?
No Maize and Blue? Sorry guys but there should be a mandate that the ONLY colors on a Michigan Uni are Mazie and Blue.
We would have if Maize(yellow) was allowed in the league we're playing in right now but it's not. When we make our jerseys for next seasons College Series I'll post photos since they will be maize and blue.
I have never been paint balling, so I am curious on how one spectates such event.
sidenote: Joliet is about an hour southwest of Chicago.
What is the main role you play on the team? I was liked watching the guy that takes the snake for the team.
What guns are you guys using now? When I played in HS the top of the line was the Dye Matrix 4. I had an Autococker, which is pretty much obsolete now with the new magnetic trigger pull systems and such.
I play the Dorito Back position which basically means I shoot a lot so that the players in front of me can advance up the field. All the gear you listed is outdated but in paintball that doesn't really mean much it's kinda like Golf yeah the wooden drive may not work as well as the Titanium shiny one but it will still work.
Airsoft is more fun..

<br>But good luck!
I hate to be a buzz kill, but I have to say that the U-M Paintball jerseys are terrible. Can't the school buck up and have something cool designed? Maybe some kind of digital camo with a simple block "M"?
I really like our Jerseys I think they will be even better once we swith them to Maize and Blue for next year. The school didn't pay for any of the jersey design fees those all came out of pocket and we ok'd everything. Digital camo would seem to indicate kids running around with guns in woods which is very far from what we do so no thank you I'll stick with what we came up with.
