Surely it should be Go Blueberry...
August 20th, 2012 at 7:41 PM ^
How do you mess that up? Seriously. Go Blueberry is just ASKING to be put on a pop tart box.
August 20th, 2012 at 9:11 PM ^
But that would require too much effort on their part. They'd have to be creative and come up with a special name for every school. They don't have the time for that. Why go the extra mile when you can just follow the lazy formula "(School cheer) Strawberry"?

Genius!
August 20th, 2012 at 7:14 PM ^
who read this as someone labeling the school as a bunch of pop tarts.
DAMN YOU POP EVILLLLLLL

I was thinking PNC Bank Presents: Go Blueberry PopEvilTarts: Arby's Edition. Seems to flow better.

The important take away from this is that you follow Darren Rovell.
August 20th, 2012 at 7:23 PM ^
Well, it looks like we have something in common then, don't we?
August 20th, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
No, his name is at the top of that page. Can't stand that guy.
August 20th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
Truthfully, I can't stand the guy eaither. But I do enjoy the random stats and numbers he throws out there on twitter.

If they come out with a MSU Pop Tart, it will only come in two flavors: burning couch and trash tornado.
August 20th, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
To do list:
1. Develop nuclear weaponry
2. Buy Michigan pop tarts
3. Eradicate Israel
August 20th, 2012 at 8:00 PM ^
I hate to "fix" your post, but you forgot:
4.???????
5. PROFIT!
August 20th, 2012 at 10:15 PM ^
4. Change name 'Israel' to 'Wasrael'
August 20th, 2012 at 7:18 PM ^
Will go right next to my Michigan Wheaties box on my shelf
August 20th, 2012 at 8:05 PM ^
I have that box too! Mine's in a sealed plexiglass case and I always wonder if there's actually Wheaties in there...
August 20th, 2012 at 8:45 PM ^
mine will be between my wheaties and gatorade
August 21st, 2012 at 6:27 AM ^
Gatorade is sweet! When was that available?
August 20th, 2012 at 7:37 PM ^
Only if they come with a free Denard Robinson.
August 20th, 2012 at 7:40 PM ^
I don't mind Pop Tarts,
But strawberry? How dare you,
That junk should be blue.
August 20th, 2012 at 7:41 PM ^
That I lived off Pop Tarts for breakfast my entire freshman year (and double cheesy greasy's at the Half Ass for late nite dinner, BTW), I will no doubt be buying these by the truckload.
August 20th, 2012 at 7:55 PM ^
tremendous.
August 20th, 2012 at 8:02 PM ^
So when the players do their "eating" celebration will the one of them pull out a pop tart?
August 20th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
Cap'n Crunch. Nature's most perfect food. Surely they could put a little blue dye in 50% of the product? And I would shred my hard palate before I let it all turn green in the bowl.....
August 20th, 2012 at 8:22 PM ^
1. Slap an "M" on it.
2. Double cost.
3. ???
4. PROFIT!
Er, wait, step 3 is unneeded.

Of the Big Ten back in 2007 here in PA. I was fortunate enough to find a Michigan Poptart and immediately froze it and swore I would save it till they won a national title again and have it as part of my celebration. It stills sits frozen and in waiting. I know, cool story bro but it fits the topic haha

I want to say that, back in the 2007-08 timeframe, Kellogg's actually offered large boxes of logo-emblazoned Pop Tarts (16 to a box, as I recall) of various teams, Michigan included. However, I think the flavor offered then was brown sugar cinnamon. I may have misremembered, of course.
It's hard for me to get over the strawberry filling for a Michigan pop tart, especially because blueberry happens to be my favorite flavor regardless. I would likely buy a box for the novelty anyway, I must admit. I did note that North Carolina will be "Tar Heel Berry", which doesn't sound terribly appetizing, much like North Carolina football.

Got to side with cherry or WildBerry on this one.

When those "special edition" Wheaties came out, I was having lunch one day in West Quad, and they had a table by the door stacked to the ceiling with the boxes. Picked one up, put it on my shelf in my apartment, and realized at move-out time that I could have eaten the damn things instead of looking at that ugly-ass box all year. By then, they were stale and disgusting, and the box was still cheesy and ugly. So out they went.
People, these things aren't collectibles. They're food. Not prized keepsakes.
August 20th, 2012 at 9:19 PM ^
so are the Michigan chocolate bars I just made s'mores with... yum.
August 20th, 2012 at 10:44 PM ^
Will drive up there to grab a few boxes. I will have these as part of my breakfast. Mark my words. Then my Gameday Saturday morning will be complete...

Going up on my shelf next to the Fastball Flakes
