Makes a ton of sense.
Ed-Ace: Five FAKEs out of five.

Oh no. How is dave going to respond.
Bumble Bee 2.0?
God. Don't even joke about that.
I think this is actually kind of cool. Not in a Michigan should wear it way. More of a cool for a high school team to use. I will now await the rotten fruit and shoes sure to rain down.
I'm with you. I'd never want to see Michigan donning it, but that's a pretty sweet and clean helmet design.
I'm with you. I think that thing is fine for the "Hey look at us our helmet is similar to Michigan's" teams. Not fine for actual Michigan.
...is better than a simple transposition of colors. Although this is visually interesting, it's too far removed from tradition.
This would be a sweet alternate high school helmet. Make it happen, Nike.
WTF is that crap? Boise State Wolverines?
Get off my lawn.
is a very good design. If it had been sprung on us the way the jerseys were in the two previous seasons I think I could have taken this a lot better.
Grand Valley State?
Is it black, or is it green and just a bad photo? If it's green I actually kind of like it. It it's black (for black's sake) then it's stupid.
I agree with this. It's pretty cool if it's green. If it's black I'll pass. I hate black uni's when the school's colors aren't black.
Their chrome helmets didn't help them much last year.
Good find. Given that that's the golden age of their football team I think it's a cool throwback (as long as they're green, not black).
This doesn't look as awful as it should.
Maybe if they tried a rose pattern like that with the regular helmets for the Rose Bowl some day.
This looks like Michigan is trying to become the oregon of the midwest.
Now I have a design for a bowling ball!
If those are green, it's good. I'm curious as to what the rest of their Halloween costume looks like.
Geez. Why even play the game, with helmets like those? I hope they keep it under 100 on us.
Regarding the potential for Uniformz: “I guess I would anticipate it,” Dantonio said. “Would I expect it? Don’t know if I’d expect it.”
That cleared everything up, Mark. Thanks for taking the time to answer the question.
That being said, if it is a green helmet, I don't think that is necessarily a bad look either.
That's the famed "1966" helmet, dressed in black.
I had thought that they were going to a gray-green thing tomorrow. Silver helmets, gray pants. "Gray is the new black" for Nike this year, it seems.
RCMB has it:
I think the green looks good with gray. Pretty cool uni even if it is Sparty.
They didn't want to go with the Jerel Worthys?
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they went full blackout tomorrow. Tbh I was expecting a lot worse.
I will never understand changing only helmets up. Fans don't buy helmets. Is this the only source? That's not confirming it.
That must be why Sparty is crushing us in recruiting
It's actually not bad compared to some others they've tried.
This is a fan's design for a helmet. Probably won't be used.
Whatever. I don't hate them. And I hate uniformz. On us.
I don't give a shit what kind of gear Staee rocks. They change their look every few seasons, anyway.
Yeah, tradition sucks.
What uniforms either team wears. Just win.
You're not doing it right. You're supposed to say, "Michigan can wear pink tu-tus for all I care as long as they win."
That's fine. This game is serious business for this coaching staff. I hope the team is focused and ready. Last time we were there we were screwing around changing into clown outfits and not worrying about all that mattered.
Hey, clown outfits are so damned important.
I actually think those helmets are pretty nice. I know I'm in the uber minority here, but whatever.
DB better not fuck us with shitty unis again. Go white. Neat. Ready to play. No bumblebee crap.
Best part is how former players told John Bacon that they had to spend their pregame lockerroom time cutting themselves out of their taped pads and uniform elements and helping each other put on new uniforms instead of going through their assignments and talking with their position groups. The marketing gurus at 1000SSS and Adidas didn't realize changing in and out of a full football uniform isn't a matter of changing your t-shirt and shorts.
The fact that David Brandon didn't loudly and publicly lambaste Adidas after that uniform clusterfuck is disgusting. He should have filed a lawsuit for breach of contract.
White and greeeeeeenn
And a bit of bronze
And occasionally black
And grey, sometimes
This comes from a poster at RCMB that makes fake helmet concepts as a hobby. Come on now.
While I despise the matte paint helmets, I really am digging the wings on the shoulders. A nice little touch.
I'm very traditional, but that's a look I wouldn't mind for a non-BCS bowl game. Couldn't support it for a home uniform, or the Rose Bowl.
for an Arena Football League team in Davenport, Iowa.
are legit and not too overboard. Stays true for the classic look but different enough to be noticeable. Once a year would be cool. Nice work.
You guys sure it isn't this? As you can see, it was created by a photoshop professional.
Nike just released a spy-photo. Pretty amazing, to see that they've gone with traditional green-beige on the helmets, but a red jersey...
