Uniformz Open Thread

I think the knee jerk reaction to new uniforms now is that they are bad, hideous, awful.  I am very glad we didn't go full out crazy with the adidas unis worn by the likes of ND, UCLA, Louisville, etc. but....   I kind of like these.  I like the bigger M on the shorts, I I like the Maize around the neck, and I don't mind the variation in color on the shorts.  They could have easily made shorts much worse.  To be fair, I do not know why the names are white on the back.  Also, I wish Adidas could have done something different than parade out all of their teams with "Rise to the Occasion" warmups.  

In this day and age, is it possible to make a jersey the majority of people would agree is "cool"?  I respect the traditionalists and tend to be one myself, but I do not think the jerseys are that bad.  Go Blue!

this guy has the right idea. if we make this an open thread, then any time feels the need to vent about uniforms in the future, they can post here where the only people who read it will actually care about uniforms...

Yes Magnus, but those threads were personal opinions on the awful look of these uniformz, this thread is about the personal opinions on the not that bad look of these uniformz.

Agreed. I have never seen so many fans constantly bitch about uniforms in every sport. The kids like them so it's a non-issue to me.

The kids are told to like them. Do you really think Michigan PR team would allow the student athletes "we pay your tuition" to say how much they dislike the uniforms. Of course they're going to like them.

What if when the hatches finally open out of the UFOs come thousands of 100ft Native American Indians? We're going to be watching like "F%&# those are huge Indians! Please tell me they're not huge Indians."

these would've been much less offensive if just the side panels on the shorts were camo to match the patterns on the jerseys.   At least they're not Jams.  I still wonder how I thought those were cool 25 years ago...
