Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't.

the only issue i have with this is that there is so much history between michigan and notre dame yet there are so many clips of them playing different teams. its a michigan notre dame game not michigan/penn state as i saw almost as much as michigan/notre dame.
September 6th, 2011 at 2:01 AM ^
I saw it earlier today but forgot to post it. My only knock on it is that I think it spends a little too much time on showing Jay Z. I like how it spends more time showing Michigan highlights rather than ND highlights.
September 6th, 2011 at 2:08 AM ^
I agree. Great video... and music. I like how we never think there's too much Michigan. Ten seconds of Jay Z, or anyone else for that matter, is five seconds too much as far as we're concerned.
September 6th, 2011 at 10:03 AM ^
Notre Dame doesnt have many highlight to show anyways....if they made it even it would only be a 30 second video
September 6th, 2011 at 10:21 AM ^
10 seconds of Jay-Z is 10 seconds too much. And if I had a lawn, I would request that you remove yourself from it forthwith.

The Jay Z parts and song are from the Super Bowl XLIV introduction video on CBS. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhL68_Zws-8

How about some good hip hop.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFvp92v8M3Y

Thank you. I hate pop shit.
September 6th, 2011 at 10:31 AM ^
Agreed, pop shit sucks. Classic rap a la Dr Dre, Biggie, 2Pac, Big L… The list goes on.
This autotunes music is bullshit.

I can't stand modern day hip hop. Always loved Talib Kweli and Mos Def are Blackstar. One of my favorite ablums. Love The blast HI Tek and Talib. Same with Outkast in the 90s. Aquemini was in my disc man for about a year straight. That album was produced by none other than George Clinton. They had so many classics. Southernplayalistic was dope too. Those are just my top 2 albums. I mean how in hell can you not like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRJSztf0bxw There are so many songs I could have picked, this just happens to be one of my all time favs.
September 6th, 2011 at 11:36 AM ^
Modern hip hop is just about who can create the most catchy phrases and good dance/club beats. I miss the old days when rappers actually told a story in their lyrics.
Love the username by the way! I'm down to the last few episodes of season 5. Great show.

I'm in the other corner, Hip Hop sucks. Give me Pop Evil over this shit every day of the week.

He makes everything better.
September 6th, 2011 at 5:53 AM ^
My thought is that Jay-z is the most overrated rapper of all-time
September 6th, 2011 at 6:06 AM ^
Even though there's a fair amount of Jay-Z in the video, this is my favorite video of the 2011 season. It also provides a nice balance of Michigan and Notre Dame highlights to make it less of a fan-based hype video and more of a game preview. And, *knock-on-wood* as long as we take care of business and don't look past this Notre Dame team, South Florida proved that this game is ours to lose.
September 6th, 2011 at 9:03 AM ^
I don't think you actually watched the ND game then...
September 6th, 2011 at 9:52 AM ^
I mean I get his point, but yeah. Just because ND lost to South Florida doesn't mean this game is going to be a walk in the park. USF hardly beat them and ND had 5 turnovers. While we forced a few against WMU, we didn't get as much pressure form our D-line to consistently put pressure on ND's quarterbacks. This will be a hard-fought game.
September 6th, 2011 at 10:33 AM ^
Sorry everyone, I need to fess up- it's true that I didn't watch the game itself, I only saw it was 16-0 and delayed during the Mich game and then saw the final score when I got home from the west side of the state last night.
In light of this new evidence, I'd have to agree that the ND loss tells us less about the team we'll play on Saturday than I originally assumed, other than this team is another pre-season ranked ND team that came out and flopped early. (Sorry for posting without first acquiring sufficient knowledge for detailed anlysis.)
But I still think it's a pretty good preview video, and you can bet your @ss* I'll be be screaming my lungs out come Saturday to make sure they do it again under the lights!
*Censored, you know, for the children.

Have you seen Rihanna in the real video ?
September 6th, 2011 at 8:12 AM ^
I saw her in the music video for hustle and flow... I think the song's name was Whoop That Trick.
September 6th, 2011 at 9:25 AM ^
Other than the terrible music, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen.
September 6th, 2011 at 9:29 AM ^
I liked this one better...
September 6th, 2011 at 10:47 AM ^
I like this one to. however, it does seem to fall more into the fan hype video section than game preview. Of course we don't mund that kind of thing around here
September 6th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
Thank you for reminding me about this one! This is from the same guy that did the Michigan-Ohio "the game" one I liked so much.
I will be posting this to facebook ASAP.
September 6th, 2011 at 10:39 AM ^
Loved this video.
What I really want to see is a hype video set to "All of the Lights" by Kanye... seems a bit more appropriate for the event.
Anyone up to the challenge?
September 6th, 2011 at 11:22 AM ^
That music is complete crap !!!!!! Pop Evil=good. Jay z= barf !!!!!!!
September 6th, 2011 at 11:58 AM ^
I'm sorry but I hate your son's work.
September 6th, 2011 at 1:43 PM ^
Pop Evil blows and Im sure Jay Z's bankroll and award case disagrees with you.
September 7th, 2011 at 2:14 AM ^
Your forgot to add the sarcasm tag. Nobody actually likes Pop Emo's bullshit do they?
September 6th, 2011 at 11:28 AM ^

I liked the OP's video a lot, but I also liked the other videos shown.

Speaking of old Hip Hop....if I had the talent I'd make one with Onyx's "Slam".
Just throwing it out there.
