Under the Lights Tailgate Plans?
My group will get to the east side of the golf course a bit before 7 AM and tailgate up until the game is about to start. Once it get's closer to the season starting I will send out my facebook invites for my Jager Yearbook tailgates. Vast amounts of drunken fun are to be had.
Can't wait. I don't really have tailgate plans, but its Ann Arbor on Game day, I'm sure I'll find something fun to do. Are there any other games of interest earlier that day? I'm not really used to being able to watch earlier games and going to the Michigan game.
"A flute with no holes is not a flute. A donut with no hole is a danish"
1. Wake up at 8am
2. Go to GameDay
3. Drink
4. Black out
5. Black in as the band takes the field.
Can you really time that sort of thing?

With enough experience, yes
Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.
When you can take the shot glass from my hand...

...then you will be ready
Tabitha and I are coming to meet friends from all over the states...if we get lucky we may snag a pair of ducats just before game time. We like coming to the games and sometimes we never go in. Tailgating with you MgoFanatics is awesomesauce !!
sweet ass sweet is bad ass bad.
Since I'm not an M season ticket holder (yet) and I do not have an extra few hundred clams laying around, I will be taking the opportunity to attend the Thursday Night NFL opener in Green Bay that weekend (insert HURR DURR LOCKOUT DURR here). So I will most likely be watching the UTL game from the living room of one of my Badger relatives.
My plans for Packer tailgating:
-wake up
-help pack up grandpa's 1995 cadillac fleetwood
-grill/eat steak, participate in whatever festivities the league has set up in the parking lot at Lambeau, drink (not necessarily in that order)
-thank my lucky stars that the NFL season started on time
-kickoff

I'd be willing to bet that the golf course won't open until noon. Keeping a lid on the boozefest...
Bless You Boys!
my typical standard operating procedure for any other game, except i bought a small tv with this day in mind
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
Flying in from Texas Friday night, staying at a friend's house a 10 minute walk from the stadium, then reliving undergrad tailgates for 12 hours til game time.
So excited for this game.
I have heard they won't be opening any of the lots until noon.
please.
What about Ann Arbor Golf and Outing? They say not 7:30, but what time?
What about the UM golf course?
Your MGoLawyer in Columbus. Unabashedly representing the interests of Wolverines all across enemy territory and now back hoMe.
Wake up, put on pants, eat breakfast, take off pants, check mgoblog every 5 minutes on my phone while simultaneously reading every game preview I can find on my lap top while also flipping channels looking for game previews on tv.
Then I'm gonna put my pants back on and throw on my Denard Robinson jersey and go to my girlfriends dorm room for 10 minutes and explain to her that we can't speak until the next day because i'll either A. Be drunk and grumpy or B. Even drunker and in arrogant victory mode which usually involves yelling at random people who likely have no affiliation with ND of any kind.
Then I'll sit in my dorm room and watch the game while my brain cells slowly disappear along with a 28 pack of beer.
Don't worry, though. I'll probably be posting on the live blog every 90 seconds so you guys don't have to miss any of my completely worthless opinion rants. Can't wait.
I've decided to lay off the food for a while, and go on the booze.
How will they handle parking differently at the golf course, because it will be pitch dark after the win
UM vs osu 2011 bring your keys and make noise (get it keys!)
I am coming in from Georgia for the first week of the season so I am not going to miss a moment of tailgating in those first two games. For the ND game I will try to get there at 4 or 5am and hit up gameday until about 12pm and then go back and have some lunch, turn on the tv/check scores and take a nap until about 4 and then start drinking, play some games, and talk Michigan football.
Gonna try to convince my parents to let me drive up for gameday (im 16), find a frat party to go to, meet up with family (a whole lotta extended family is going), then go visit some friends, eat, then go to game
taking my 7 year old to his first Michigan game. Won't be able to do to much drinking and partying, but it will be a great experience for both of us. Michigan -- Notre Dame .. under the lights ... his first game in the Big House. Priceless!!!!
Well, I would love to take part in some of the tailgating festivities, but I lack tickets... So I won't be able to take part. Now if anyone happens upon two tickets I could purchase, a friend and I would be very very indebted.
but there will be a ton of tickets available on the secondary market especially if you are willing to stand in the student section and pay the right price ... while i would never sell my own ticket and encourage others not to, I know a ton of students who were salivating at the thought of getting nd, neb, and osu tickets (plus 5 more games) for iirc $250 and thinking of the possible profit. Almost everyone I know (even kids who never make it to the game due to "other" activities) bought tickets for this reason. .... the point is there will be tixs available, you just have to wait it out
Just Win Baby
1) Wake up early, convince my roommate that even though the game isn't for another 12 hours it's time to go out.
2) Drink.
3) Maybe (ideally) hit up College Gameday.
4) Drink. Hit up the houses and frats.
5) Find something to eat.
6) Drink.
7) Wander around.
8) Make my way down Hoover to the game.
9) Experience the best and most memorable game I've been to thus far.
10) Leave the stadium, probably find something to eat. Then go out for the night. Probably drink if there's still alcohol in the city of Ann Arbor.
11) Go back to room, think about what potentially could have been the best days ever during my time at the University of Michigan.
Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped.
I'm thinking about going into hibernation for the next couple of months. Wake me up when September begins.
6am latest: Make waffles, do hair/makeup, convince roommates to devour waffles, mix waterbottles of my potent "Blue Drank," leave for pregames
Then: Varying vehicles of beer consumption. Funnels? Kegstands? Shotgun?
Optional: Powernap around noon
Then: Mix more drinks, try to eat food? Build up drunken anti-ND rage, but sober up enough to avoid vomit/public intox and God forbid, not getting through the gate.
Finally: stumble to my seats, enjoy NIGHT GAME
Then: Drink more!
The world looks better through maize mirror tint.
I see there are a couple people saying that the golf course won't open until noon. Has anyone heard when the Pioneer lot will open?
1. Wake Up. 2. Complain and be pissed it's 12 HOURS till kick-off. 3. Never once call it "Under the Lights".
