Michigan commit Mike McCray, with his left arm in a sling, will not play in the #UAGame. Surgery three weeks ago to repair torn labrum.
yes plz
that I can NOT confirm that we're not in the running, so that when he does or does not choose Michigan I will of couse be proven right.
Love & Hate are horns on the same goat.
I doubt Hoke would still be after him and invite him to the team practice, and I doubt LM3 would come to our practice if he wasnt able to enroll at michigan.
if he has always wanted to enroll early not to plan ahead for that.
well at least mcquay won't get dragged out. i hope we get him but it'll be tough sledding. tough to pull those kids away from SEC country.
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
The big rumor about L3, he's a silent commit to USC. If u listen to Sam on Friday he hinted about him not going to Michigan and vandy. So we will see
His dad did say "I wouldn't be surprised if he chose Michigan." I think it'll come down to FSU and us too. Sorry Vandy, the kid plays football
"I mean, everyone does ... kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me."
"We ain't come here to play school"
That quote means nothing. If your kid was being recruited by another school, and a "beat writer" or whatever for that school interviews you, would you tell them after all the contact by the coaches and visits back and forth, "No, my kid doesn't want to go there". By saying, "I wouldn't be surprised if he chose Michigan" is as generic as it gets.
We were supposedly in prime contention for Rolle (along with FSU, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma and Penn State), and since he was maintaining that academics were very important to him, many UM fans thought he was in the bag for the 2006 recruiting class. Nobody who's stated they're serious about academics would choose those other schools over Michigan, right?
Rolle had a nice athletic and academic career down in Tallahassee. My money's on FSU winning this one too.
He was a Rhodes Scholar at FSU...I'm pretty sure he did just fine.
Let's stop acting like Michigan is the only school where one can earn a decent education.
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
I agree totally—I pointed out that he had a nice academic experience at FSU. You missed my sarcasm. I've got two degrees from UM, but the notion that UM is the only school in the country where you can get a good education is simply dumb.
"Yeah ... I don't know [if Michigan still in consideration]. I don't know how many hats I'll have up there," he said. "My dad said he wasn't paying for five hats. I'll probably only have three hats up there.
Unless he's building dramatic suspense, we're out of it.
Doesn't seem to be that kind of kid, in my view. Toss in the Dad (his Dad of all) outright claiming he isn't paying for hats that he'll simply toss aside/not pick up and I think that quote (if direct) means we're out. Now, obviously due to quote, I doubt we even have a hat. Probably FSU, Vandy and usc/Oregon (?).
Yeah, this one seems to be FSU all the way. I think Vandy is just not the football level he wants, usc has its issues and it appears he wants to stay warm and has his mind set on a major. I think we might have a hat on the table but FSU just seems to be that happy but not perfect medium he wants. I think weather/location and major keeps us from landing a legit kid who clearly does like us. I'd be happy to be wrong but I don't see him here. We'll know Friday (but likely before as with most recruits).

I've been talking about the FSU momentum in regards to McQuay for sometime. It's going to be close.
I would love it if McQuay "announced" not with a pick from 3 hats off a table, but by taking off a generic ballcap to reveal a haircut like Tulley-Tillman. That would be classy.
Polonium 210 is the new dilithium.
Or by rolling up his sleeve to reveal a Justin Turner-style tattoo.
Or Christian as well for that matter.

that we either ARE or ARE NOT still in the running.
