Under Armour Practices on ESPNU - Scout names Jabrill Peppers #1 performer after 3 practices

Submitted by BlueCube on

With all the Michigan players participating I assume this is not OT. Day 1 is currently being shown. I missed an interview with Wilton Speight.

Day 1 will be repeated Friday at 11:30PM. Day 2 will be shown tomorrow at noon and Saturday at 2AM.

Also scout.com named Jabrill Peppers the #1 performer after 3 days of practice.

There is no way to play in both they practice at the same time, even though one is played two days before the other. One isn't really better than the other...Under Armour got more talent this year, but Army has gotten more talent in previous years.

The Under Armour game has been taking the lead the past couple years, and I'm not just saying that because there are more Michigan guys in the UA game. The Army Bowl was the first big event like this, but the standard uniforms and the poor production of the game on NBC make it less attractive to players, in my opinion. With the UA game having flashy uniforms and being shown on ESPN, I think the best players are gravitating there now.

I've heard nothing but good news all week about him, he was even named starting QB but he's not mentioned..hmmmmm

The QBs may not be ranked well just because rarely do any of them appear as 'amazing' during the first few days. The D always has the advantage in these games and QBs have very little to to develop chemistry between themselves and the best group of athletes they have ever had to throw to. Always a larger learning curve.

Over at 247 they have him as the #8 performer and didn't seem nearly as high on him. Given the lack of mention of northern players in general though, I'm inclined to attribute this to their massive SEC bias (could be bigger than ESPN's if you'll believe that). Still, Herm Edwards has been gushing all week, and apparently Deion Sanders agreed with him that Peppers is the best he's seen in a while. Can't wait.

I hope Mr. Peppers can expedite Raymon Taylor to second string ASAP. Dude is a liability. There is a long line this year but there appears to be options for him.....

I actually believe that peppers is the most college ready CB I have ever seen, he will dominate from day one. The best thing about a guy like peppers is that his work ethic and leadership will rub off on others. Some have said that he will be the nickel from day one but I think he will actually contend for field or boundary corner spot. When all is said and done I don't know if he will surpass Woodson but he will undoubtedly be the closest specimen we have seen since the man himself.
