No, only five players are announcing and none of them has interest in Michigan.

Does anyone have the players that annouced at the Septer Fidelis bowl? I only saw 2, one to Oregon and the other to SMU. Obviously noone picked Michigan since we dont have any HELLO: posts, but just curious.

DeForest Buckner committed to Oregon.
Avery Moss committed to Nebraska.
Gehrig Dieter committed to SMU.
Greg Garmon committed to Iowa.
That's all I can think of.

Bigger question - there is a rumor on Rivals that attrition won't be as bad as expected and this class might not get to 28. Any way that actually could happen? I am still hungover from the Sguar Bowl and don't want to do the math. Thanks.
(FWIW they are saying this class would be around 26).

The class will get to 28 attrition or not

Given current interest and needs, you'd be very hard-pressed to find 4 guys we'd land before NSD. Scout also says 26 is the likely number.

Is that being confirmed by the mods or is that just being thrown around on the message boards?

Strongly implied.
Makes sense though. Only about a half-dozen realistic possibilities at this point and they're limited to just 3 positions (OL, DB, TE).

With no attrition at all, we have room for 26. That also means that all of our 5th year seniors come back. Many believe that Mike Cox and possibly Terrence Robinson will not get a 5th year, freeing up spots 27 and 28. Neither player has played outside of special teams, and Cox wasn't even very visable there.
I would expect 27 to be a sure thing, meaning Cox is gone and Robinson stays. One guy leaving in the meantime clears that up, but if we're in on some big recruits, I would expect Hoke to tell TRob he can't come back.

You're assuming the team will get more than 26 commits. I'm not sure that's realistic at this point.

28 for sure! There are a few 5th year's that might not get a scholly next year. I think they will only get them if there are some left over. With the Stonum news, that might open up another one.

Wes Brown and Cyrus Jones are the only two guys announcing tonight who have Michigan offers. Neither is expected to pick Michigan.

We will have 28 spots...whether we fill them is another story.

as NSD gets closer. Some of the guys we were pursuing have dropped off the board (Dunn, McNamara) and others are likely to (Payton, Banner, etc.) And if the coaches can't get elite prospects at this point, we'd be better off banking one or two scholarships (IMO) and save them for a great player in the 2013 class. The only real need at this point would be another TE and maybe an elite offensive lineman. If we can't get either or both of Reeves or Wright, I'd say save the scholarship(s) for next year.
