Redfield never had an offer from OSU. They were recruiting him but they never fully offered. Right now they're banking on Vonn Bell and it's starting to look good from Bell to OSU. Bill Green talked to Bell's coach today and he said if he had to sign today it would be OSU no contest. Still a long way to go though with an in-home visit from Saban and 3 official visits to OSU-Bama-Tennessee.

The beanbag does NOT mean that someone recovered the fumble! This is the 2nd time. It means that they're marking the spot OF the fumble.

It's not a signal to say one team recovered over another...it's not a black beanbag or a white beanbag.

Please retire from announcing. Thank you.

Why does Luginbill keep harping on this "he's no longer the bigger, faster, better athlete" nonsense.  It's no different in college or the NFL.  Adrian Peterson is the best RB because he's the best athlete.  Colwney is the best DE because he's the best athlete.  The only position that may not correlate as well to is QB because of decision making.  But, it's no different if you're talking high school, college, or the NFL...the bigger, faster, and better athletes are the best at every level.

For years before their NC streak, all we heard about from ESPN and CBS was SEC speed and how it was the best conference. Never mind that for years, the Big Ten held it's own against them. Unfortunately, Saint Tressel crapped the bed twice against them and people started to believe the putrid bs forced upon the public by the media.

Now, it is mostly true that the SEC is the best conference, but without ND winning out, we would have had Florida playing Bama on 1/7 because of how "dominant" the SEC is. Well, we saw how dominant Florida was two nights ago.

Gary Danielson whored himself out to the SEC and then ESPN did the same thing. Now, it's all we hear about, and it does have an effect on where recruits want to play ball. Even if the other conferences step up, they will have to deal with the media bias for years (or until some other conference puts the media in its back pocket).
