UNC investigating football hazing incident
It may end up being no big deal, but UNC is the last program that needed this kind of investigation right now. Yahoo Sports is reporting it was a hazing incident that escalated into a group assault of a teammate. That athletic program is a mess right now.

Did UNC ever get punished for the academic fraud case?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

But then, why is UNC "the last program that needed this kind of investigation right now"? Why should they deserve our sympathy?

Had they been stretching!

He acts like they filled out some forms wrong about stretching.

"In an inhuman act of hazing, UNC players forced a freshman teammate to attend every one of his classes this past summer."
August 26th, 2014 at 9:31 PM ^
Haha. So heinous it's unheard of in those parts.

Downright cruel and unusual that is.

Buckeye marching band members wouldn't consider that inhumane. But their football team would.

"HEY UNC.... You guys.... KNOCK IT OFF.
Seriously this time. Stop it."

Lol I was wondering when the annual UNC scandal would arise.
August 26th, 2014 at 9:18 PM ^
Just about every program in the country is saying, "Well, I guess it could be worse. Look at those assholes in North Carolina."
August 26th, 2014 at 9:46 PM ^
I'd say many other programs in the country are saying things like "We only stretched for too long...." or "We only had one single player take impermissible benefits so why isn't UNC seeing any punishment at all? Bowl ban? Give me a break"
August 26th, 2014 at 9:56 PM ^
I guess I just assumed the NCAA would get around to punishing them eventually. Also, you'd think if you were able to dodge a bullet like that, you'd keep a closer eye on what's happening. It just never seems to end there.

As a UNC grad, I have to say I'm getting pretty damn tired of the negative attention.
August 26th, 2014 at 10:33 PM ^
If i were a UNC grad I would be getting tired of the culture that is creating it.
August 27th, 2014 at 12:10 AM ^
Lol you're a UNC grad? What a pathetic loser!
August 27th, 2014 at 8:50 AM ^
Not really sure that being a UNC grad makes me a loser. I got in to a PhD program at Michigan.
Does Michigan give PhDs to losers? Is that your position?

Can you not read the facetious tone of his post?
Your post comes off as unneccesarily haughty.

If his post comes off as facetious, what is he really trying to say? I don't really see an alternative meaning, especially in the context of this thread.

This actually happened, unlike their class schedule.

I think it's funny that you're still rockin' the "Mrs. StephenRKass" schtick.
August 26th, 2014 at 11:58 PM ^
They just got away with major academic fraud violations.
August 27th, 2014 at 12:50 AM ^
We need to quit acting like academic fraud doesn't happen. It happens EVERYWHERE
August 27th, 2014 at 1:17 AM ^
No, it doesn't.
August 27th, 2014 at 7:47 AM ^
I'm confused.
1. This story isn't about academic fraud. It's about hazing.
2. Who's acting like academic fraud doesn't happen everywhere?
3. Saying that academic fraud happens everywhere like saying that all people do an occasional bad thing. Okay, fine, but that doesn't mean that we can't get upset if someone does something really bad.
