Not gonna make too big a deal over this game regardless of outcome. B-ball season is determined in February and March not November

Sure, but the eventual path that you must walk come March can be made a great deal easier by what you do in November and December. Taking down the reigning champions looks almost as good on a basketball résumé as a Michigan degree does on a standard résumé.

I’ve been fooled by teams making a run in November/December or stinking in November/December and then the opposite happens later in the season. Last season the team didn’t start to really gel together until late January so i won’t put any emphasis on this game. I am excited for b-ball season to start imma enjoy every moment

Regardless of whether he plays or not, as long as Michigan doesn't get blown out of the arena a loss won't hurt that much. Going on the road with a relatively unproven team to play the defending national champions is a tough proposition.

No one expects Michigan to win that game, so a strong showing in Chapel Hill would bode well for when they open the conference slate. Of course, if they manage to win all bets are off.
