The gourmand side of me: We

The gourmand side of me: We have purchased a 10lb pork tenderloin, and will lovingly marinate it in lemon and oil before rubbing it gently with herbs and salt and stuffing each thickly sliced chop with proscuttio, pepperoni, and provalone and grilling it over charcoal and applewood chips.

A fresh apple slaw will present a delicate compliment to the heavier pork dish, and a cold pasta salad will suit the balmy temperatures well.

The "forever an undergrad" side of me: I also can't wait to clumsily stuff handfuls of Cheez-Its in my mouth while I guzzle cheap beer and play Cornhole.

If there's no Victor's walk, it's always fun to march with the MMB up to the stadium.

Absolutely ... walk to Michigan Stadium with MMB

is a great way to arrive at the gate.  MMB leaves about an hour before kickoff ... quite the tradition & very close to our tailgate  - lot SC9.  Short walk across Elbel and I'm stoked for the opener.  Gotta be there early for Game 1 ...

Go Blue!

So I made this table last

So I made this table last year and debuted it at the Iowa game.  I made the table to fit perfectly in the back of my SUV (it is hinged in the middle, the legs fold inside of it, and it then folds in half).  I was relocated to the Orlando area this year and just realized that I'm not going to be able to throw it in the back on the Jeep this time...design and planning fail.  Does anyone know for sure if I'll be able to check this with delta as this would be a tragic loss for the tailgate.  Folded dimensions are 41"x30"x12", weighs about 60 lbs.

With Delta

(having flown with 'em this morning), first bag is free.  Next one would be either $25 or $50, obvs depending on size and weight...and sadly for you, I'm guessing 50 lbs is the threshold.  Confirm on their website, though.

Another thought is to leave it with me, and I can put it to good use, and you may enjoy visitational hours any football Saturday in AA, other Big Ten cities, and possibly BT Championship venues.

Pay it forward, I say...

I should have clarified. I'm flying out on Wednesday and waited too long to go ups/fedex. It would cost around $400 to get it there via ups at this point.

What passes for "tailgating"

What passes for "tailgating" these days is pretty lame. The golf courses look more like the infield of a hillbilly Nascar race than a University event.  Back in the day, if you didn't have a ticket, you stayed home.  This guy will be everywhere on Saturday.
