UMSolar - End of Day 1
At the end of the first day of competition, Quantum is third behind the cars from Tokai University (defending champs) and Nuon Solar Team. Quantum covered the most distance of all competitors at 715.9 km. Tokai and Nuon covered 715.4. Even though Quantum is ahead in total distance, they're slightly behind on overall time. However, as you can tell, all three teams are within minutes of each other. The fourth place team, Twente, is 85 km back. It looks like this is going to be a great race right down to the finish in Adelade. Stay tuned.
Passing Tokai University earlier in Day 1 (Quantum on the left, I think)

Really well if you consider being parked in shed, in EL, as "good".........
To be honest, they are not competing in the WSC and I do not know the current state of their vehicle.

Nice start, Wolverines. Keep on your "A" game and this could be the year. As a former UM Solar Car team member, it makes me so proud to see this program thrive over the past two decades.
My only concern from the first picture that I thought the strategy team would've warned you about....you're driving on the wrong side of the road!

Seriously, better to post after a win.
