UM/Oregon

Why is Oregon so much better than UM?  Besides them having the RB James.  Both made coaching changes, both have new starting QBs, I mean really?  Can they really out recruit us that bad?  The damn PSU game has me so fn pissed right now...damn

They have had their spread offense in place for years.. when they switched coaches they really didn't have to switch much.. and all along they had the same type of players they needed there.

Yep just going to say that. Oregon has been running the "Spread" or a form of it for years now (Joey ran a form of it).

Michigan went from a very conservative predictable pro style, to the spread read they is based on running the football.

Oregon has a D that can stop people. Michigan doesn't have a D that can stop people so if they fall behind they have to abandon the run and throw it and that isn't what the RR spread is ment to do.

Long story short....Oregon has a team, while Michigan has Denard.

Oregon has run that offense since 2003/2004 from what I remember, possibly longer. I just remember Michigan going to "The Zoo" and getting beat there by a similar offense. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Chip Kelly was the OC when Belotti was there... I'm not sure how long.. I wanna say it was only from like 2006 or 2007 and when Belotti stepped down it made sense to just move Kelly up before he left ( and came to MICHIGAN instead of Rich Rod)

Oregon also doesn't run stupid defensive 'zones' like Michigan. Our Zones are JOKES. I have never seen a SLOPPIER defense. Michigan STACKS 8 in the box on every defensive play I actually focus on. I think Oregon didn't really have any attrition like we did going from a 4-3 to a "????" 5-2? 3-3-5? 3-4? Who knows.

With all that said, I was not a fan of the Rich Rod hiring, but I changed my attitude and said GIVE this guy a chance, wanted to spontaneously combust after we lost to Toledo... regained my composure and figured, let [Stubborn] Rich have time to get his program going, and I believe he needs a FULL rotation of recruiting (4 classes)... but enough is enough. 3-9, 5-7, and possibly a 6-6* season for the recruiting power he has? I just think Michigan is going backwards. Carr's worst year was 7-6 (ending the reg. season 7-5) I believe. I just don't like this style of offense if we have to sacrifice a GOOD defense like we had.

3 down lineman while psu runs up the middle on every other play.  I mean right up the middle.  They have ran about 5 different plays today.  HB dive, HB screen, PA rollout, and Ace Fly, thats it.
