I just got back from the hockey game - wow, there was a lot of hard hitting (and a few cheap shots).
Hopefully we can beat the Irish in South Bend tomorrow and get our mojo back!!

Just to let you know the game is actually on Sunday at 4p on Comcast.
Lets hope for another strong showing!

it was nice to see the team play a complete game, hopefully they can string some of these together now. special kudos to brian lebler who played his ass off tonight and also to hogan who made some good saves and looked pretty solid.

1). Amazingly, with a record 1,383 stuffed animals tossed onto the ice, none got stuck in the netting.
2). Michigan looked much better tonight than they did earlier in the year or even against Wisconsin in the Showcase. They're doing the little things again, good faceoff wins, good forecheck, active sticks, making sure that the trailer is there, clearing rebounds, things like that. The penalty kill was very solid, even though they did give up a goal to ND on the Power Play.
3). It's weird to see Notre Dame without a Brown-level goalie but Johnson let in some really soft goals.
4). Lebler and Moffie looked really good.
Upshot, if that Michigan can keep playing like this, there's hope.

it felt like we didn't lose a faceoff the entire first period. i swear we probably won something like 13 of 15 or something.
and i concur on lebler, he played awesome. nearly had the sweetest assist i've ever seen while falling against the boards.
so so nice to finally see the hockey team handle a good opponent at home

Hogan played great, Cap'russo's snipe was awesome.
