UMASS TV coverage

Submitted by weasel3216 on

I was looking forward to the UMASS game this morning and i noticed that Big Ten Network is covering the game.  So i looked to noon on Saturday on my cable box and it says that BTN is carrying the Ohio State-Ohio game.  I do live in Toledo and have Buckeye Cable so it makes sense for BTN to carry OSU, but does anyone know if Michigan will be picked up by another network then.

Chicagoland area is showing Ohio Vs. Ohio State as well. (to save other from checking)

Comcast only shows the main BTN channel I believe. If you have DTV you might be in non-HD-luck.

Is there any chance ESPNU picks it up?

The BTN Overflow channels come and go on the Comcast guide in Chicago. We most certainly get them though.  Wait a little longer in the week and check the gamefinder again.  You'll get the game.

EDIT: The BTN overflow channels on Comcast Chicago (at least in my region/zone/whatever) are 692, 693, 694.  I believe they can even go to a 4th and 5th channel if it absolutely necessary.  Unfortunately, it looks like they're not in HD.

For some reason, and maybe I hallucinated it, I saw an ad saying the game would be on ESPNU. I get the BTN so it's no big deal, but I'm pretty certain I saw that ad while watching a college football program on the U.

This is why everyone should have DirecTV. CABLE SUCKS!! Not only do I get the Big 10 Network and all of the alternative Big 10 Channels but they are all in HD!  Drop that cable and pony up for the best TV provider available

I am going to the game and the BTN will replay the game on Tuesday and Wednesday. If anyone wants their problem solved, I have 2 great extra tickets listed on Ebay item # 270634162669 .

They did this last year..  For those of you who live in michigan and it says Ohio State vs Ohio, dont worry.  It will show the michigan game.  Last year it did that when OSU was supposed to play and instead the delaware state vs mich game was on

It says OSU, but it will be Mi hogan in Mchigan by Saturday. That's just the national primary game. The Comcast alternative channels look like 692, 693 around here. But it will be the HD game here. Nationally...stay tuned.

Should be able to stream it live on the internet somewhere as well as listening to the radio broadcast.  It's not the best way to watch a game, but it sure beats gamecast.
