The offense played outstanding yesterday, especially in the first half, perhaps the most efficient first quarter against a B1G opponent starting any contest. I guess Penn State would rank there as well. But Michigan was just very sharp on both sides of the ball and then played steady in the second half, moving the ball while not scoring during every possession. Still, I was just impressed by the focus and execution displayed by all units.

It was nice to see Kenny Allen come out of his field goal funk.

Also, Illinois did a good job of bottling up Peppers on returns and when he came in on offense. You could tell he was a little frustrated with himself on a couple of those wildcat runs. And I believe his last punt return chance he fair caught the ball when I thought he had a lots of room to break off a long return. I wonder if the coaches told him to do that?

All I'm gonna say is any team can beat any other team.

I wouldn't start packing for the championship game until they're all in the win column.

Michigan vs. OSU will still be for who goes to the B1G championship game.
