Since ND suffered through crushing defeats the last 3 years, the new strategy must be to schedule a night game since they ALWAYS win night games against Michigan in South Bend. I guess we'll just see about that streak.
These are all from an era when ND was respectable...these were a long time ago.
Last year they gave away their night game to USC...it was in a nicely wrapped package of turnovers.

We don't play ND until week 4....
My bad. I totally forgot that we're not playing ND in week two again. Nonetheless, Air Force should be an interesting machup after Bama.
If ND doesn't have its QB situation sorted out by then, we can win comfortably. And they are minus 1 Michael Floyd. Still, this game has the potential to be a thriller. Again.

this is the road game I have circled this year. Last year was northwestern. I'm hoping I can get a couple tickets for under 300. being a night game it makes the trip so much easier.
I'd start looking really early. A pair for under 300 will be really tough.
It became tradition for the last two ND coaches to lose 38 - 0 to Michigan in their 2nd year (Willingham and Weiss). Kelly could not even get that right. But now he can make up for it this year and hang his own 38 - 0 loss on the wall. May the new ND tradition continue.
Everett Golson will probably be our QB. He is a passing QB that can run. Perfect for the spread that Kelly runs. Sat out last year because he needed to gain strength. He will be a Redshirt Freshman. Here are his senior year highlights.
Also why do you think the new QB will be worse than Rees? If Rees is the best QB he will play next year but that likely isn't going to happen.

Other than the turnovers, Rees played fantastically against us. He (and Floyd) were carving us up. I don't want to see him if he were to solve the turnover thing. I'll take my chances with a new guy and no Michael Floyd.
