Can someone explain to me why Utah is the Runnin' Utes in b-ball and just the Utes in football?

Can someone also explain to me why Anthony Wright is allowed to launch ill-advised 3's?

I didn't mean that to be defeatest or anything, but you have to be 0.500 to make the NIT. Assuming losses to UConn and Kansas, that puts us at 0.500 in the non-conference, so we'd have to do better than 0.500 in a tough looking Big Ten to qualify. That seems like a long shot at this point, no?

Anyone have any input on why Gibson saw almost no playing time in the second half while Akunne played almost the entire half? Was he really bringing something that Zack wasn't? Did Gibson get hurt?

I think it was a strategic decision. We were losing at half trying to go big, so coach went small I would guess. Once we started making a run, he probably stayed with it...at least I hope that was the thinking. That, and maybe we went to a version of the offense that puts people on the perimeter more so manny can drive.

I take back everything I said about chicken little. This game was extremely disappointing. This type of performance seems to be what we are going to get this season unless somehow Jordan Morgan can somehow be some sort of savior. We are going to have to fight to get into the NIT at this point. I'm pretty baffled as to what the hell is wrong with Sims. I am going to stand behind what I said about Stu, though. He is one of the better defenders on the team, a very good passer and will get out of his shooting funk eventually.
