Defense has looked better in this game than any I've seen so far.

I was just about to say the exact same thing. We're rotating and filling the lanes MUCH better than we have so far this year.

And if Manny keeps making threes like that, I think we'll be in good shape. Utah is doing a pretty good job on the defensive end to make us force the questionable looks.

but its early and 1-3-1 might work in this game since utah is big and not as athletic as the past few teams michigan has played. Only down side is it opens up the three from the corner which utah has already exploited.

That's true. I'm wondering how big of an impact playing Gibson so much might have something to do with our success on defense and the less than stellar shot selection on offense.

agreed - i liked how we started in man then switched into the 1-3-1 on the made baskets, caught utah a bit off guard, and also keeping their 7'3"-er out of sync, hes also slow as hell so if we can force turnovers and score in transition that'll be huge

Not during live game action. To hear the announcers practically give Izzo a handjob and let him ramble--while the game is going on--is not why I tuned in. I can see speaking to him at half time, but not interrupting the game.

I'm already looking for plane tix to SLC so I can find him and mock him. He's the most annoying basketball player I've ever witnessed. Already. Can't wait for him to cool off and keep heaving up bad 3s in the second half. Should be good for the equivalent of 6 TOs.
