It was reported at MGoBlog earlier last week that MI FB Niko Palazeti was coming to AA as a preferred walk-on, and a possible future FB for our program. Looks like he has a full ride to East Lansing.

MSU OWNS this state.
Just another example of that in-state dominance. He'll undoubtedly be bumped ahead of Devin Gardner in the Free Press' rankings.
Good for him, though. Nothing wrong with getting a full ride to a JUCO.
Well, since 1/23/10, MSU has taken over Georgia and the JC's in Kansas as well as Mich:

MSU's top 25 class is going backwards (now 28th) in the last two weeks.
When are people going to write an article about RR out-recruiting Dantonio in Ohio???? Former Tressel assistant, former Cinci coach.
Class of '97: 4 Years -- 4 Four-loss seasons
All your walkons are get scholarships for us!
I routinely +1 myself in memory of em0, may he RIP

He must like the way he looks in a ski mask.
It is what it is though. Good move on his part.
Good for him, getting his scholarship and all... Hopefully he doesn't get the chance to beat us on the field though.
His only other offers besides MSU were Hillsdale, Northwood and Wayne State. Is Mark D. that obsessed with owning the state of Michigan that he offers our preferred walk-ons just to steal one away from Michigan?
For the recruiting gurus: Why the lack of love for this kid? Palazeti had a good senior year rushing for over 1,200 yards and 24 TD's as a fullback and played on a state championship team. He was even voted the #5 player in the state by coaches and peers last year. (For whatever that's worth) I was hoping he'd turn into Rich Rods next Owen Schmitt.

Flush twice - it's a long way to Columbus.
doesn't really have athletic ability to make people miss, while he's a big RB in HS but he won't stand out as a FB with his size(his frame appears to be maxed out).
Owen Schmitt is a lot more athletic(more athletic than given credit for) and can move really well for a big guy. In addition to it, he's plays with a mean streak and is very strong.
but hopefully we'll sign Sean "The Situation" Parker in the next 24hrs.
"He has an uncanny ability to get kids to believe in him and believe in themselves. He doesn't do it with smooth words. He's not smooth. He does it by being the same genuine person day after day." ~Jason Whitlock on Brady Hoke
I heard we're recruiting Pauly D to take over as DJ for the piped in music during games. Can you imagination the intimidation of the entire Big House fist pumpin'? Sheesh, look out.
That would be even more annoying then the "you suck" chant.

Ronnie is going to be our waterboy and instead of gatorade during games, he will be passing out RonRon juice.

...a better chance of seeing quality playing time under Dantonio's system as well.
Maybe he'll come to Ann Arbor for graduate school.
As a matter of fact I like beer.
Looks like contingency plans are in motion for the Spartans and Domers.
For some reason every time I see this kids name I think we're recruiting Enrico Palazzo:
You mean he doesn't HAVE A SINGLE OTHER D1 OFFER cough cough cough oh sorry wrong thread...=)
Current Smug rating: "lethal"
1170 OTHER COACHES DIDNT THINK HE WAS WORTHY
Good for the kid on getting a full ride from a D1 BCS school when his only offers weren't near that good. Can't blame him any for taking it.
Bad for MSU though that they think they have to give a player of that caliber a full ride just to get one over on MSU. Will the Freep call this the in-state steal of the recruiting period?
he was a walk-on at uWV and was a big part of uWV success; he drafted by Seahawks, very few fullbacks get drafted in nfl
this is karma for Valenti rediculing the Ray Vinopal commitment today b/c Vinopal didn't have any other major D-1 offers. But hey, at least he had SOME D-1 offers.
I go to school with him and watched just about every game this year. He is pretty damn good, but I don't know if he'll do great in the Big Ten. He won't be able to truck kids like he did in high school, although he won't be carrying it 20 times a game either. He should be a decent blocker. I'll ask him why he went to MSU though. I think he's been an MSU fan though. And they gave him a scholarship. He doesn't have to earn it there.
and it seemed that the kid was just looking for a chance to play D-I... he made the right calls to Wiscy and MSU and since CMU & WMU play more wide open, he wasn't offered there. Good for him to get a full ride.
"So I come out of Ohio Stadium after we beat the Buckeyes, and right there on the hood of my friend's car, some one took a dump, in the shape of an 'O'. no shit. Oh, sorry, bad pun."
Can't be mad at a young man getting a full ride to college.
I can be miffed though.
I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean.
