should allow the testing to begin. Chesson has yet to even be targeted but had been open deep in both games so far on deep routes only for Gardner to take the safer throw (rightfully each time). I think Chesson becomes that threat but it's sad that each of the last 2 years we lost the big, outside and in Stonum's case a true deep threat for the year before the season. Darboh wouldn't have been that deep threat but would have opened it up for Chesson as, imo, he would have demanded more respect from a defense than any other outside WR outside of Gallon. A big, precise route runner with great hands and decent speed would have been icing on the passing game cake. Norfleet's size shouldn't rule him out, either. Bama had a deep threat for a few years in a tiny guy we all remember as one time verbal commit, Maze. IMO, we will lack a true and consistent deep threat this year until we develop a legit, consistent run game. If our interior OL and backup HBs cannot improve, we may never develop a true deep threat this year.
