UM @ Iowa will be a night game

Submitted by Wee-Bey Brice on

Assumed UM-Iowa would be a night game Nov. 12. FYI -- average night time low 31 (according to US climate data) brrrr https://t.co/6J02OTOmRd

Anyway, on night games, probably going to hear late this week or early next.

otherwise tickets for that game will be obscenely high-priced.  And that's the one road game I was hoping to make this fall.

Just checked Stubhub prices for that game, only 2 sellers offering seats under $157/seat.  The vast majority of available tickets for that game are well in excess of $200.  Some early conference losses by Iowa would quickly burst that price bubble.

Yes, it's an 11 year drought (2005), but only three games have been played at Iowa in that span.

Last 20 years:

97 - win

98 - win

01 - win

03 - loss

05 - win

09 - loss

11 - loss

13 - loss

Yeah, really not that bad of a streak.

We were horrible in 2009.

In 2013 we were pretty bad and also still totally gave the game away.

2011 was really the only game where it was a major upset that we didn't win.

It's stuff like this. You complain about being picked on around here but you keep doing things like beating this drum which you know is an unpopular opinion that you're laying out again just to get a rise out of people.

You can keep doing that, but then don't complain about people picking on you when you're knowingly being an agitator. There's disagreeing with people and there's this.

Well, if it turns out that it is a night game, the best we may be able to hope for is one of those mid-autumns where it is unusually mild and only gets down into the low 40s at night in the early half of November. Otherwise, it ends up being one of those games where three hours seems like three weeks thanks to the weather. I am sure we've all been to at least one of those in our lifetime.

Horrible flashbacks to our last night game at Iowa.

Hopefully the defense doesn't give up a hundred different 3rd & longs again.  Try to actually stay in the same time zone as the Iowa receivers.
