Michigan will play at Iowa next week on BTN at Noon EST/11 a.m. CST
UM-Iowa Noon on BTN
Was looking for the time on this yesterday and noticed it wasn't out. This must have just been released, so thanks.
I'll be there. Iowa resident, looking forward to watching my first game this year, though I'm not thrilled about the new possibility of a loss.
Who's coming down??
I don't think the possibility of a loss is "new".
To me, no. I thought the game from the get go would be tough even when rollling after the ND victory. I'd say most here to begin the season and even up until a month and a half ago figured that to be a very likely win. We'll have to agree that new is a relative term.
Michigan never seems to play well at Iowa. Damn pink locker room.
It's been too long since a noon game. Last time was vs Akron right?
This year there have been 9 games that started at 3:30 or later, the most in the last 10 years and maybe in school history (although they did play 8 last year).
Any clue on what event it is from?
Big Al needs to have a good game plan and preparation to beat Buckeyes in the last game. Otherwise he should go out find himself a new gig.
And you don't think he won't have to against iowa?
Win = kickoff time doesn't matter
Just get the game over early. Win or lose. I hate sitting around all day being nervous and I had having my whole Saturday killed by 330 games
Your Saturday isn't killed when we lose noon games?
Does that make it 5 of the 12 games being carried by BTN?
Does that matter?
Of how the general public perceives us, so yes.
Good. I always want away games to be noon starts.
Yeah, it helps to take the crowd out of it (especially since it will be 11:00 a.m. local time).
Do Iowa students show up for noon (11:00) games, or are they like every other school?
Made travel decisions blind this morning because I still didn't know the start time, and guessed wrong. Wish we weren't so beholden to the media for late game time decisions.
The advantage for me when it comes to the noon start for an away game is that I can basically roll out of bed, have some coffee and breakfast, entertain the kids for a bit and then just get the game out of the way before moving on. I will admit, yesterday, I was looking for ways to dstract myself before 3:30 PM, up to and including mowing / mulching the yard during what would have been halftime for most of the noon games.
Finally a noon game, and Ohio will be too. Next week is a HUGE game. 8 wins with this team would be nice. It puts us in position for a chance to take down Ohio...
That time stinks - I'm 13 hours ahead so it's a 1am start. Hopefully the trade off is spare bandwidth.
Great for me. My daughter has a soccer game at 5:00 that day. Living in Iowa, hopefully I can proudly walk into the game sporting my M gear.
I'll be there! First road Big 10 game for me!
Oh well, maybe they will play better when i dont watch. I imagine the OSU game is a noon start as well.
Iowa is not going to win this one though
